Yours, mine, ours

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine - Isaiah 43:1-3

There are times when I love the word MY. Times when I am at rock bottom and MY God shows up to pull me through. MY Lord comes and moves the mountains. MY Saviour eases my pain and brings me peace. MY Father shows me mercy and grace.

We each have our own personal relationship with God. We each know how we feel about Him. We know He loves us and we know He is there for us. And there are times, when we feel like He is the only one we can turn to; the only one who understands.

And I believe it is okay to have those MY moments with the Lord. But I also feel like we should understand that He also belongs to others. We should witness and let others know what He is doing in our lives. We should be willing to share the stories of His miracles, His grace, His mercy.

So even though there are times where I want Him to stop what He is doing and wrap His arms around me and hold me tight, I understand that He is not just mine. He is yours, He is mine, He is ours.
