Why I love my Fed Ex guy....

My Fed Ex guy rates right up there with my UPS man. They both bring me lots of free goods as a result of Thirty-One business. I did one party in December and it was a $600.00 party so I earned what is known as the Ready, Set, Sell Incentive Level 2. Last Friday, my free stuff came and I am loving it.

My favorite item was this purse from the new line of Jewell by Thirty-One products. I am not crazy about snakeskin, but I do love this particular purse and will probably order it for spring in the hot pink they offer. Check out the small secret pocket between the handles. It is perfect for my cell phone.

I also received a free pocket that you can put in the purse. It's really neat the way they give you options.

Just lift the flap and snap it in.

And there you have it, a new zipper pocket. If you don't need it you can leave it out.

The purse also has two drop pockets already in it.

One of the other items is perfect for storage around the house. I can't decide if I want to use mine for crafts or cleaning supplies.

With all the pockets around it, I may have to get a second one for cleaning supplies and use this one for my crafts.

They have created a new thermal. It is perfect for toting pizza's home and keeping them hot.

One of the other bags was this huge tote bag from Jewell by Thirty-One (This is a new line in our Thirty-One catalog this spring.). It is perfect for the woman on the go that is always toting everything with her.

They sent me a new batch of spring catalogs. Can't wait to send them out to my customers.

The special this month is the Zip Top Utility Tote and the All About the Benjamin wallet. I was able to get one of the wallets earlier this fall in a different pattern. But I do believe I will take advantage of the savings and buy the pink one while it is on sale. Then the pink purse I want is coming on sale in February and I will be all set. You really should visit my page where I talked about this new wallet. I haven't carried any other wallet since I got it. I am in love with it. Check out this link and scroll down to the wallet. All About the Benjamin wallet

They sent me a few of the new sample swatches but this isn't everything. If you would like to have one of the new catalogs, just let me know.

Well, hubby and I have a rare day off together today so we are going to run out to the store this morning and get some goodies for appetizers for tonight. Every New Year's Eve we stay home and fix a lot of assorted cheeses, crackers, appetizers, etc. and play a marathon of Monopoly and if he beats me in that too fast, we play Runny or Skip Bo. We have been married 32 years and we have done this for 32 years. I wouldn't trade it for all the parties in the world.

Have a safe and happy New Year's eve.

Some thoughts....

Sorry I didn't get to post yesterday. I did a little antique window shopping this weekend. I think my new pattern I want to find something in for Pyrex is going to be the Horizon Blue. I want to start with the mixing bowl set which is always my favorite Pyrex pieces.

One thing I don't have in any pattern is a Pyrex loaf pan. I need to keep my open for one or two of those for when I make pound cakes. I might even  bake bread if I could get some of these.

Those little quilt squares in the above picture caught my eye. I should make some quilted hot pads. It would be something easy to make.

Okay, that's it. I am now looking for patterns for little hot pads. That is going to be my next project. I'm heading to Pinterest. Have a nice evening.

Some new goodies....

Santa was good to me this year.

I got this vintage looking radio for my office.

My back ordered cross town wallet came in from Thirty-One on Christmas eve. I was so happy to receive it.

A friend got me this cute tape dispenser. Back in the day I loved spike high heels and she thought I would like this which I do.

Hubby got me a very pretty Faith necklace.

And this lovely watch with interchangeable bands.

My daughter and her family bought me this lovely bracelet with my favorite words....Dream, Believe, Achieve.

She also got me a watch with interchangeable bands.

I got some warm footies.

And the Isotoner gloves I wanted so bad.

My son and his family got me the Town & Country Pyrex 402 bowl I have been looking for.

That completed my set. Doesn't it look lovely?

They also got me my favorite Southern Rain cologne. I love this stuff. And they got me a new pair of aloe infused socks.

Hubby got me some new sweaters, pants, jammies and a gown. He did really good.

And I was thrilled to find this John Grisham novel under the tree. I've already started reading it and it is very good.

I am so thrilled with everything.

Family time....

Christmas has come and gone and I have another year of wonderful memories with my family. They came over on Christmas eve and we had a  wonderful time. I thought I would share some pics with you. I love my family and am truly blessed with two children and their spouses and five beautiful grandchildren.

Caleb normally doesn't like his picture made and a smile is very rare when you snap one. But he asked me if I was sending it to Mamaw Helen and when I said yes, I got an actual pose for the pic.

Bosom buddies. Alexis and Shelby are so close and they get a long so good. There is something special about a bond between girl cousins.

Watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas cartoon.

My daughter Diana and her husband Michael. They are the parents of Caleb & Shelby.

My son Chris and his wife Jamie. They are the parents of Garret (setting beside his mom), Alexis and Colby.

A good smile from Garret. Again, because I told him it was for Mamaw Helen. I'm printing these Saturday to send to Mom.

The four youngest grandchildren: (l - r) Alexis, Colby, Caleb and Shelby. Watching some funny cartoon.

The boys after they ate too much. They made it as far as the couch.

Everybody loved their gifts and we had an awesome time unwrapping them. There were some moments of sheer joy that let me know I picked the right thing to get.

Our little man. He is a rascal. Watching him open his electric football was a blast. He was so surprised and when he saw what it was he grinned from ear to ear and said "Oh my goodness!" It was priceless.

Caleb was so pleased with his new hoodie that he put it right on.

Everybody seemed to have a great time.

I miss them all so much when they leave, but I am blessed to have them all living in the same county so I get to see them throughout the year.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from my home to yours! May Jesus be your reason for the season all year long.

It's Christmas Eve!!

Gifts are wrapped an under the tree. I need to bake my chocolate cake, lemon 7-up cake, no bake oatmeal cookies and snickerdoodles. Some good family time later today. I can't wait. Hope to get another pic of all of us together to see how much they have all grown since last year.

We had our office Christmas party yesterday. It was an ugly sweater party. We had a blast. The boss and his wife really got into the spirit of things. She even did the poofy hair and fake eye lashes to add to her outfit for the day. It was a hoot.

The staff all dressed for the day...some more so than others. Me and the two other ladies wore appropriate Christmas decor but we just don't like to get our photos taken.

The boss's mother-in-law came over with the grandbabies. I loved her sweater.

We had a ton of good food.

And our own little Christmas tree.

Adam won the trophy for the ugliest Christmas sweater. I can assure you he does not dress like this on a regular basis. He is normally very well attired. Just shows you how far he will go to win the trophy.

We did a food gift exchange. I got a yard of Christmas cookies.

We also got gifts from the boss and his wife. They got us awesome purses monogrammed with our initials.

A mini-zipper pouch each with our initial on it.

And a stocking full of goodies.

We even had a gingerbread man in an ugly Christmas sweater.

Byron brought his banjo and played for us. The kids were dancing and having a blast.

It was a great way to end work before two days off for Christmas. I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas eve.
