Weekend wrap up

Hubby and I spend a relaxing evening in on Friday night for Valentine's Day. We are not big movie buffs and couldn't really find one we liked so we just watched several episodes of our favorite show American Pickers. We had waffles on our new waffle iron. Call us crazy but we decided to take the money we normally use on cards and candy and buy a waffle maker. Supper  was awesome with bacon, sausage and waffles. I can't wait to make cinnamon roll waffles in it one morning this week. Stay tuned for that.

I got my first Avon order in since I became an Avon Lady. They sparkle. I love them except the Gold one looks a little strange in the picture, but it is actually pretty.

I had my two granddaughters Saturday and we went to a birthday party for my friend's 5 year old. It was a Frozen party and I was very impressed with the way she used her snowflake Pyrex for the party.

It turned out really good for the decor.

She even used it to hold the books she was giving each child that attended. How awesome is that?

My granddaughters had a great time. There were plenty of seats at the table but they insisted they had to share a seat.

We have had snow so much this winter and I am over it. I am ready for spring. So I decided I needed to use some of my cheery spring colored Pyrex to make some brownies for the girls while they were over.

I made them in the 8" round cake pans because I don't have any Pyrex in a 9 x 13 pan. I need to see if they made one and find it.

Although, I must admit the brownies turned out delicious in the round cake pans. This was the first time I used them since I found both of them and I loved the way the brownies cooked.

We went to Sunday School and church and then I took both the girls home and went back to my house and crashed. It was an awesome weekend.

It looks like that was a great party, and how cute to have a book for each child to take home!!

Your brownies look delicious, and what a fun way to cut them - like a brownie pie! Yum!!
