Weekend wrap up

After decorating VBS on Thursday, I realized we needed some little dragonflies on our flowers since they are part of the theme this year. I checked my craft supplies Friday night and made a visit to Pinterest. Turned out I had some stuff to make one of the Pinterest projects so I decided to try one.

I figured he was cute enough for what we needed. So I made about a dozen of them. When you look at them all laying together that actually look kind of creepy with all the googlie eyes.

Saturday I just ran to the Scrapbook 1/2 Off Store and picked up some embellishments and paper to make a sign to hold up for our Kindergarten class to find their seats when we gather in the sanctuary each night.

We had a small class for the first night, which is normal for a Sunday night. We expect more tonight. But the 10 we had were so happy to make their crosses. I have never used rocks as a craft medium before but the kids loved it. This is good to know when I prepare future Children's Church crafts.

We all gathered back in the sanctuary at the end to learn our songs for family night.

First night was a huge success. I did get to eat a hot dog, a couple of brownies and a bag of popcorn so that made me happy as well.
