Fall is in the air....

About mid-August every year, I am done with summer. I am ready for fall and I can start getting that "autumn feeling" that says it is not far away. The days are still hot and some times really humid, but by evening the heat is dissipating some and if you are lucky the hint of a breeze passes through.

One thing I love during fall weather is the smell of spice cake. The temp in my house was a little cool this morning, so I decided to bake a spice cake for work. Of course, I had to use this particular Pyrex bowl to mix it since the pattern is Autumn Harvest.

And to me, spice cake is best when it is topped with Duncan Hines Salted Caramel icing. Can't wait to cut a piece of this.

I found this neat container to take lunch to work in.

So I decide to make me a few deviled eggs to have for work. Went ahead and used the smaller Pyrex bowl for that. I love Pyrex in Action.

Have a happy Tuesday.

I am so ready for fall, it always comes late to us here on the Texas coast. Spice looks so yummy, one of my favorites!

I somehow missed this post....LOVE those Pyrex bowls, since I have them, too. ;-) I think my Daddy got them when he worked at House Hasson Hardware. He would get stuff in the "morgue"....opened boxes, stuff like that. And, I'm very much over this heat, too. It's bothered me more this summer than ever before....it COULD.NOT.BE.MY.AGE....could it?!?!? LOL HOPE the cake was good...I'm on low-carb so that's a no-no for me, but my mouth is watering from just the pics.
