These are a few of my favorite things...

I wanted to share some of my favorite things with you today. I am loving my new nail polish color. I love doing my nails with an accent nail. I took a walk on the wild side and did TWO accent nails.

My vintage milk glass flower baskets and a Home Interior pitcher and bowl that belonged to my mother-in-law.

My Royal Dalton tea set. This was the set that got me started collecting tea pots, tea for one's, tea cups and mini tea sets. Allen got me this in 1989 for Valentine's Day. I was so shocked, but love it dearly. I had always wanted the Old Country Roses tea set.

After I got that, I found this one and bought it for myself and I've been collecting ever since.

In the early 1980's he bought me a set of Pyrex Cinderella bowls. Over the years, as we downsized I sold it. Then when I started collecting vintage Pyrex. I traded a piece to get two pieces from the set like the set I had sold. A few weeks later was Christmas and I got two more pieces. I now have the whole set again and will never part with it.

I just love this shelf on my wine rack. My Grandma's cookbook I got for Christmas one year from my son and his family is one of my favorite cook books in my collection.

I am a collector so I use my three book shelves in the spare bedroom to show off my tea for one's, mini teas, Emmett Kelly's, Lefton tea set, little women and to store my books and a ton of other stuff.

This is my favorite table centerpiece I have ever had. I change it out each season and on the holidays. It's funny, but my sister came to town this week and when she stopped to see my new place, we were surprised to find out we both bought the same tray at Hobby Lobby for out table centerpiece. We are so much alike.

But the most favorite thing in my house is a copy of the very first selfie me and Allen ever took together. It turned out to be our last one. Little did we know that one year after this was taken he would be diagnosed with a terminal illness and would be gone two month's later. This is my most prized posession.

Love all your wonderful items. I am a fan of Emmet Kelly myself. I really like that tray, I wish Hobby Lobby was closer to me.... Nice picture of your precious Allen and yourself. My hubby has been sick for 3 years with 3 different cancers, we don't get to do much together anymore. It is hard to watch him sometimes but I still have him. I am sorry for your loss. Hugs, LJ

Your nails look so pretty. I mostly paint my piggies, but paint Ruby Kate's nails and toes. She chose purple "like Nannie" yesterday. 😊 So glad you have that pic of you and Allen. We just never know. Thanks for linking up and hope you have a great weekend!

Oh my dear Mamaw...I just discovered your blog through the Friday Foto Friends...and I was enjoying your "favorite things" so much (we have a lot in common in collections), and I was just loving it until I got to the end and the wonderful selfie of you and your hubby, and the sad news it told. My heart goes out to you...what a precious picture. May the Lord continue to give you comfort and strength and the "oil of joy for mourning". Isaiah 61:3

I love your nails :-) I see you have a large collection of lovely tea pots. I don't collect them but my first set was also Royal Doulton, Old Country Roses. Isn't it so pretty?

Forgive me for hitting "send" before finishing. I had a choke in my throat over your previous photo and the poignant memories it brings. I'm glad you can look at the photo with joy and that it brings happy memories though your dear hubby is no longer with you on earth.
