Trying to get organized....

I wish I had a dollar for every time I have posted that I am trying to get organized. I am actually organized per se. I guess what I am working on is getting my organized items into containers for bins that color co-ordinate with my office/craft room. I had a Thirty-One party recently and got the pink storage cube with lid for just $10.00. It went great with my black bin from Family Dollar.

I just got these Thirty-One Oh Snap pockets last week and was trying to decide where to hang them. I had a couple of door hooks. They were great to put the storage pockets on. Each one snaps together so you can use one alone or make a hanging with a many as you want or need.

When I got to big for the "Easter bunny", Mom took over fixing me an Easter basket. When I got married, Hubby took over. He knew this year I wanted a basket made from chicken wire. He found one at Walmart just the exact size I wanted (plus he got me an adorable white with black dot new shirt).

I wanted the wire look to really show so I took out the liner and put it up in case I ever need it. But I filled the basket with cookbooks. My sister and I have this thing about baskets filled with cookbooks. Am I right Rachel?

I am reorganizing my Pyrex displays. This is just temporary, but here is where I want my cookbook basket. Just have to figure out the rest of the display.

I showed you a pillow yesterday made from Thirty-One swatches. This is what I am thinking about using to make my pillow. I love the bird fabric to use for the back of the pillow. I will keep you posted on the progress.

I was looking up yard sales today for this weekend. I found this picture of a teapot a lady has for just $4.00. I fell in love. Then I Googled the teapot and saw it is vintage from the late 1930's - early 1940's and was made in the USA by a glass company that was only in business from 1927 - 1954. I quickly went from "I like it" to "I have got to get it". There are no guarantees on it being there if I drove the 35 minutes to get there. However, she did have an email address so I contacted her to see if she will hold it. We will see. I love it.

Here is a close up I found of one of like it.

The pink and blue will go so good with my living room. I want to put it on my fireplace.

On a side note, I am so glad it is hump day. It is always a long week when you are coming off a three day weekend.

Displaying cookbooks in wire baskets is the best! I have a bunch of old ones that I have picked up over the years and have them in an old freezer basket in my office. I love being able to see the colorful covers.

Good luck on your teapot. It is so you and would be perfect in your house!
