Happy Halloween from Emili and Brittany!

It's Halloween and my niece Emili and her friend Brittany really love to decorate for any holiday. They have done some adorable stuff this year at their new place. What a more fitting way to end Halloween than with some cute decor. They posted other pictures too, but my size for each blog is limited so these are my favorites.

I just love this one.

What a cute idea.

I have these same houses and similar pumpkins. I hope I can remember to do this next year.

Love the sign and the cat so much.

They even dress for the holiday. I love the shirts. Of course, the Hocus Pocus (top left) one is my fave.

How adorable is this fire log scene.

Glad to see I'm not the only one in the family that even decorates he oven door for holidays. I love this.

Too precious. I love little ghosts.

I'm really enjoying their living room and the way they did the fireplace.

Probably one of my favorite pieces they have. I've got to get one of these.

What a novel idea. I just love this.

Thank you Brittany & Emili for letting us "visit" with you today!

It's been a great morning already!

Any day is a great day when I can start it out using an entire set of my favorite Pyrex bowls.

It is my friend's birthday today and he wanted a cinnamon roll french toast bake instead of a cake. He's the arena manager where I work and a really amazing guy so I said I would bake it for him.

We are decorating for Christmas at the Stampede today so I have to head out soon to fluff trees and garland and hang some bows and poinsettias. It's my favorite day of the work year.

Friday Foto Friends

I need some ideas for decorating for Thanksgiving. So I did what I do best....I visited Pinterest. Here are a few things to share that I really liked.

One week of hard work and fun...

As we wind down our regular season at Dolly Parton's Stampede, I am tired thinking about what lies ahead in my little world over the next week. I am group greeting today and Friday. Saturday I have some errands to run and a couple of cakes to bake for church. Then we have trunk or treat Saturday night and I will be going to that to take my cakes and enjoy our fall festival.

Sunday will be church and work so that day is pretty full. Sunday will be my last day of working the regular season show. I am not even sure yet my schedule for that day so I'm not making any plans.

Monday and Tuesday we are closed as we start decorating for the Christmas season. I help decorate the entry way and the scan line. Lots of tree fluffing and hanging boughs of greenery over showcases. The big tree outside is supposed to start going up today or tomorrow.

On Monday I have to make a cinnamon roll french toast bake for one of my best friends birthday.

Then Tuesday I am participating in the 2nd annual Halloween party for my friends on our wait staff. They work so hard all year and on this one day when they are busy getting the arena cleaned and ready for the Christmas season, I throw them a little party as a thank you for all they do to help me do my job as a greeter in the arena. One thing I am making this year is these cute brown cookie witches hats. Can't wait to do these.

That night when I get off work a group of around 10 - 12 of us are going to Dolly Parton's Celebration Christmas show. I am excited to see the new show this year. But better yet, I can't wait to eat the delicious food.

Wednesday I took the day off to rest, but will probably spend it taking down the Halloween decor and converting it all back to fall and start setting out my Thanksgiving items. Then my daughter wants me to go with her as she takes Shelby trick or treating. I love seeing all the little kids in their costumes and checking out how everybody decorates their homes for Halloween.

Thursday when I go back to work I have another friend having a birthday. This is the lady that trained me how to group greeter and many other parts of my job. I adore her and she rarely gets to be there on days we bring in goodies since she only works part time and comes in after all the goodies are usually gone. So I am making her the requested Mississippi Mud Cake she has been wanting.

Friday I am off work and for once in my life don't have any plans. But who knows what November will bring in my crazy, busy, hectic life.

Happy Halloween

I love decorating for Halloween. Here are a few of my displays this year. Love my black and white pumpkin S & P shakers.

Some magnets I found at Dollar Tree for the fridge.

My favorite cat dish towel and my new favorite Owl one for fall that my niece, Christy, sent me. I just love it. She sent me another one covered in owls, but it was in the washer when I took the picture.

My cat Pyrex bowl which I love using at Halloween.

One of my favorite displays....My ghost and little black cat.

My glow in the dark coasters.

Allen bought that wire jack-o-lantern candle holder over 20 years ago for me. I love it.

My pillow of my favorite movie. I just watched it yesterday. It's not the Halloween season until I watch Hocus Pocus and Casper the Movie. I'm watching Casper tonight.

My cute sign I got .... at all places .... The Christmas Mouse at the beach.

Another Halloween favorite is the witch with the basket that Allen also bought for me when he saw it at Old Time Pottery about 15 - 16 years ago.

At the same time, he picked out this pumpkin for our decor (he loved decorating for Halloween). We put this out every fall first decoration of the season.

Then time for Halloween, we simply turn it around to the jack-o-lantern side. We set a candle under it and burn it. It's really cute.

I changed it up this year and put a witches hat on it and no candle. I love it.

I just adored this when I saw it and couldn't wait to set it out.

And my little cat head and white ghost.

Halloween is just a week away so here is a little witchy humor to leave you with.

Week end wrap up

I was blessed to be off for the weekend on Saturday and Sunday. I wasn't due back till noon Monday so it felt like a two and a half day vacation. In my usual style I crammed every moment full of fun. It started out Saturday with me and my daughter doing a little shopping....ALL BY OURSELF! Usually, Shelby is with us but she went to a friends so we had some well needed mother-daughter time. On a stop at Sam's Club, I picked up a cool new shirt for all the upcoming Halloween festivities.

I picked up a pack of little coconut cookies a friend told me about. They are so good. This jar I had was just the right size.

My sister surprised me by coming to town for her birthday. But the funny thing is that as I gave her the birthday gifts I had gotten her, she gave me a bag of goodies she bought to me. She got me this book that I'm getting ready to read. It looks really good. It's a series of cute mysteries that take place in the same town.

She also brought me this little sign which I loved.

But she really thrilled me with my peppermint Pyrex bowl I was planning on getting. Can't wait to use it.

After she stopped by and we exchanged gifts, we went to my little grandson Colby's football game. He is little #3. He's small but he packs a punch at these games. Runs like the wind, has a throwing arm that hit its aim every time and jumps right in to tackle the other team no matter what size they are. He's the team quarterback and I just love watching him play.

That's him on the left. They ended the season with only one loss. It's on to the playoffs with a trip to their age group Super Bowl a big possibility.

After the game, we went out to eat for Rachel's birthday. Of course we had to have a picture of the two of us. I think this is one of my fave pics ever.

Got to get some Mamaw time with Alexis......

And some with Colby.

And some with Caleb. Caleb turned 15 this year and they just don't spend as much time with Mamaw as they get older. So I was thrilled when he came in and chose to sit with me.

My whole family was there except Garret who had to work and Shelby who had a sleepover at a friends. We missed them but we did have a great time.

Rachel went back home Sunday so me and my friend Sherrie made a trip to McKay's. I was able to get the next 7 books in my Fool's Gold series I've been reading.

And I picked up a book with a Christmas story to read in December.

After that we stopped at Walmart and I picked up a few more Christmas presents so I can get a jump start. I've got five stashed away right now for various people. Obviously, I can't show you what I got or say who they are for.

On the way to work Monday, I stopped at our new Dollar General and picked up a few things with Christmas plaid. I love the joy sign because it has three of my favorite words on it.

Then I went to work. Had a great day and got a lot accomplished. It's shaping up to be a good week with trunk or treat at our church this Saturday which I will be able to attend because of the way my work schedule ended up. Hope you have a good week.
