What a great weekend...

Had a great weekend. Started out Friday night with dinner to celebrate my granddaughter, Alexis, birthday.

My oldest grandson, Garret, was off work and able to go with us. You can tell he's preparing for deer hunting season. Although this does appear to be his year round look. He's handsome no matter what.

This is my granddaughter and grandson, Shelby & Caleb. He's at that "I don't smile for pics" age. But Shelby smiles enough for both of them.

My grandson Colby with Alexis helping her open her cards and gifts.

My daughter Diana.

The one on the right in the lighter blue is my son, Chris. He had jumped over to help his sister eat her appetizer.

We stood in the parking lot afterwards for over an hour visiting. We had a great time. Caleb is leaning on his mom. Thought I would show you how tall he is compared to Diana. Good thing he is a good kid. No way can I see her having to reprimand him with him look down to get a "talkin' to." That's my son-in-law Michael to the right of the picture. Colby photo bombed them.

I was watching the girls in the family and realized they have a lot of hair. The one 2nd from the right is my daughter-in-law Jamie. You can tell her and Alexis are mother daughter with that dark hair and Shelby belongs to Diana. She definitely got Di's hair...curls and all.

But my favorite picture of all was the one of me an my five beautiful grandchildren. The two older ones even managed a semi upward tilt of the lips. I'm taking that for a smile and considering myself lucky.

Saturday I worked so nothing spectacular happened to blog about. Sunday was homecoming at church and afterwards I just laid around the house and relaxed, read, and watched TV all day. That is so NOT me, but it sure felt good. I'm off again today so I'm catching up a little laundry and working on storage boxes. I still haven't gotten rid of everything I want to get rid of. But I'm taking care of that soon.  Hope you have a great Monday.
