I got started on my fall decor by accident yesterday. I wanted to do the flower arrangement in my wagon with all my Dollar Tree stuff. So I just went ahead and did it.
It looked so cute with my scarecrow that I had to put the new blue place mats on to see if his blue denim made everything pull together. I was really happy with the result and the place mats go great with my wallpaper border.
I started thinking about what to do with the extra leaves so I got out my box of fall decor and decided they would be great with my little pumpkins and squashes in a basket on the living room table so I went looking for one of my empty baskets to use and decided to see what they would look like. Next thing I knew I was digging in my fall box to just go ahead and do the coffee table to see if I liked it. I did. So that decorating was done.
Then I realized that one of the many coasters I bought at the beach was the same fabric as the table runner I made a few years back so I got that to put out for any drinks on the table.
There were some extra flowers in my fall box and some extra raffia from the wagon arrangement so I decided to take the summer display off the kitchen table and went back to my box of fall goodies and came up with all this.
Then I spotted my mums and sunflowers in the magical box of goodies. So I replaced the summer flowers in my McCoy pitcher that belonged to my Mamaw Eden. It's on top of my fridge and I keep the flowers changed out for the different seasons.
That was four new arrangements in one morning. Well, I made it that far so I decided to see what else I could do. I moved my DVD and TV box to a little side table instead of the shelf in my fireplace. So I put a little decor in there.
Then I got out my favorite fall blanket that Mom made me years ago with primitive stitchery.
And I hung my little sign I got at Dollar Tree.
I even had a new spoon holder for the stove that I found at the beach.
Since I had just rearranged my bakers rack for the new Pyrex, I put some fall stuff on there with all my fall colored bowls.
I did some rearranging on my wine rack to incorporated my blue and white stuff the other day. I won't put any fall on it unless I find something else with blues and oranges. But I want to show it to you anyway because I am in love with it.
The great part about all this is I got it all done (dusting included) in two hours then go dressed and went to work. I still need something for my kitchen bar and the top of my TV. I'm off this weekend for a four day weekend so I'll do a little shopping and see what I can find. I'll show you what I do with those when I get them done.
