I was watching The Big Bang Theory on On Demand yesterday and one conversation just cracked me up.
Sheldon: Sorry. I'm a little distracted. I can't seem to get in touch with Amy. I tried e-mail, video chat, tweeting her, posting on her Facebook wall, texting her, nothing.
Leonard: Did you try calling her on the telephone?
Sheldon: The telephone. You know, Leonard, in your own simple way, you may be the wisest of us all.
There are tons and tons of ways to communicate. I use them all except for Twitter. I do not tweet. I have never been able to understand the concept. I don't want to understand the concept. I have set up an account at two different times and never could grasp how it works. I just didn't "get into it."
Last week, Thirty-One held a Twitter party. They were giving away some products during the party. I decided to create a Twitter just for my Thirty One use. I set up my account just for that purpose. I followed Thirty-One and signed on at the appropriate party time.
I was not impressed with Twitter. The real time transfer of info was not really fast so I found myself sitting there thinking of all the things I could be doing while I waited for the next tweet to come in. I guess I just don't get it and never will.
So I will continue to text, Facebook and pick up the phone. Tweeting is just not going to be my thing.
