As we wind down our regular season at Dolly Parton's Stampede, I am tired thinking about what lies ahead in my little world over the next week. I am group greeting today and Friday. Saturday I have some errands to run and a couple of cakes to bake for church. Then we have trunk or treat Saturday night and I will be going to that to take my cakes and enjoy our fall festival.
Sunday will be church and work so that day is pretty full. Sunday will be my last day of working the regular season show. I am not even sure yet my schedule for that day so I'm not making any plans.
Monday and Tuesday we are closed as we start decorating for the Christmas season. I help decorate the entry way and the scan line. Lots of tree fluffing and hanging boughs of greenery over showcases. The big tree outside is supposed to start going up today or tomorrow.
On Monday I have to make a cinnamon roll french toast bake for one of my best friends birthday.
Then Tuesday I am participating in the 2nd annual Halloween party for my friends on our wait staff. They work so hard all year and on this one day when they are busy getting the arena cleaned and ready for the Christmas season, I throw them a little party as a thank you for all they do to help me do my job as a greeter in the arena. One thing I am making this year is these cute brown cookie witches hats. Can't wait to do these.
That night when I get off work a group of around 10 - 12 of us are going to Dolly Parton's Celebration Christmas show. I am excited to see the new show this year. But better yet, I can't wait to eat the delicious food.
Wednesday I took the day off to rest, but will probably spend it taking down the Halloween decor and converting it all back to fall and start setting out my Thanksgiving items. Then my daughter wants me to go with her as she takes Shelby trick or treating. I love seeing all the little kids in their costumes and checking out how everybody decorates their homes for Halloween.
Thursday when I go back to work I have another friend having a birthday. This is the lady that trained me how to group greeter and many other parts of my job. I adore her and she rarely gets to be there on days we bring in goodies since she only works part time and comes in after all the goodies are usually gone. So I am making her the requested Mississippi Mud Cake she has been wanting.
Friday I am off work and for once in my life don't have any plans. But who knows what November will bring in my crazy, busy, hectic life.

It is so nice that those you work with are like family and it seems you all care about each other. That makes going to work so much easier! I was blessed like that too and that's why I stayed there for over 20 years. Awesome!!
My goodness! I'm tired just reading about everything you're going to be doing!
