Saying goodbye to September...

It's time to bid adieu to September and embrace October. I need to get my fall decorating done. I'm running behind on it this year. One of the first things I set out in fall is my Harvest Angel

I will still be wearing flip flops on the warmer days, but it is time to look for new fall tennis shoes. Something I can wear socks with on those cool fall days. I am thinking Nike because it has been years since I had Nike. I think they were even more comfortable than my Skechers.

I also need to pick me up a zip up hoodie for fall. I don't like heavy jackets. I will probably go with a basic gray Old Navy jacket.

I am on the prowl for a new cup for my hot chocolate. I am always on the prowl for new cups. Something with lots of room for marshmallows. I would love to find some of these.

Hubby and I are both off today so we may go to some antique stores this morning. Just not sure what we want to do today, but I know it will be fun.

Loving Wood Block Sayings....

I am loving some of the wood block signs I see everywhere. Here are some of my favorites.

Christmas blocks word blocks saying blocks. I bet I can make this!

Fall Quote- Plant Smiles, Grow Giggles, Harvest Love

The Red Balloon: CRAFT DAY 2013- Christmas Crafts. I think mine might say silent night instead of jingle bells.

Decorate with Fun and Retro Christmas wood blocks that say "Jingle"

No tutorial with this link, but very cute idea. I'd do blocks of wood and coordinating paint.

Hmmm... my motto for this year? :)
Definitely need to make the boys shirts with this saying!

Check out this great Fourth of July decoration! You can make the words say anything you like. Full tutorial on how to make it at www.SodaPopAve.com

And my favorite....

An exciting day ahead.....

Hubby and I are taking day to head out and do some shopping. We are going to an antique/flea market about an hour away. I'm very excited about it because it is 13,000 square feet. I am not sure what they will have but I am sure there will be lots of neat things to look at.

Of course, since I don't know what I'm looking for it doesn't really matter what they have. It just promises to be an awesome day.

After that, we are going to head over to Old Time Pottery. I want to look and see if they have any of these fall candle holders.

Fall Glass Candleholders

Or these fabric pumpkins. My cousin makes them but I don't live close enough to her for her to teach me how. I may just buy one since they are only $3.99. Then maybe I can inspect them and determine how to make them.

I also want to look for these little elves on ladders while they are on sale as well. I love little elves at Christmas time.

After that, there is a yarn shop I want to stop by. I will be in 7th heaven with all these new yarns. I get so tired of the same old yarns at AC Moore and Walmart. I want a particular color of orange that I can't find anywhere else.

Well, as you can see I have a busy day planned. Hope you have a great day as well.

It's hot chocolate time...

These cool early mornings are making me crave hot chocolate. I need to find me the perfect hot chocolate cup. I really want something vintage. Here are some I love. I love Snoopy. I always have, especially in his Red Baron mode. This cup recently sold for $495.00 on Ebay so I am pretty sure I will never be able to find me one, but I do love it.

Dad had one of these when we were little.

I saw this online, but if I had it I would never be able to bring myself to drink from it for fear of breaking it.

These are some Hazel Atlas vintage cups I would like to find.

I actually own some like the two on the left, but I would like to find one like the one on the right.

These are some I would love to find.

I love the colors in this one.

I actually found one of these this past summer so I can mark it off my list.

Since I am a Dunkin Donut fan it makes sense that I would like to have one of these.

This is a cute one for Christmas time.

I have seen these on the internet but never in person. I don't know if they are vintage or something someone has copied and made.

I wouldn't normally drink hot chocolate from a tea cup, but this is just awesome.

Royal Albert Yellow Roses

These sets caught my eye on Pinterest. They are cute.

I also saw a recipe on Pinterest for Hot chocolate floats.

Hot Chocolate Floats. Whoever posted this recipe is now officially my hero. Hot. Chocolate. Floats. There are no words...

And another one for salted caramel hot chocolate.

Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Recipe ~ Make your own salted caramel hot chocolate at home! Salted caramel is the base for this thick homemade hot chocolate. It’s incredibly rich and indulgent!

This is my favorite hot chocolate that I make and my favorite cup that I drink it in. It is hot chocolate stirred with a candy cane for peppermint flavoring. Topped with mini marshmallows and grated candy cane.

Just checking out some fall clothes...

A couple of weeks ago, my granddaughters were shopping with me and we stopped at Vanity Fair Outlet in Sevierville. I saw some awesome items I fell in love with for fall.

I want some nice sweaters to wear this year with some type of top underneath.

This is a cute pattern. I love wild patterns on sweaters.

This was beautiful

They had some beautiful jewelry.

You know how I am about flip flops in summer? I am the same way about crazy socks for winter.

They had some beautiful scarves as well.

This is a simple but pretty sweater. It was super soft.

I had a gorgeous model for the scarves.

And I love plain cream sweaters.

But my favorite thing was the two cutie pies who decided to become professional mannequins.
