Fifteen faves for under $3.00

There are a ton of great finds on Etsy. I love scouring the shops to see what might tickle my fancy. Here are my top 15 favorite items that are on Etsy for under $3.00 each.

I love these little saucers. I am a sucker for anything that has flowers on it. 

This is a cute little bowl. Would be great to melt my cheese in.

Look at this vintage mini tea set. I used to have a ton of these growing up. Wish I had kept some. 

This heart dish is cute. 

I fell in love with the little rooster plates. 

Depression glass sherbet dish.

Vintage Harkerware saucers. 

I thought this was adorable. 

This is called Dynaware from Mexico. It is similar to Pyrex from US and Arcopal from France. 

Cute vintage apple dishes. Don't know what you would use them for, but loved the color.

This is a Fire King pattern called Swiss Chalet Alpine. I love it. I've never seen anything in this before. I need to investigate.

Milk glass with grapes. One of my favorites. 

Vintage dishtowel. Cute for a runner or scarf somewhere in the kitchen. 

Love this little pink dish. I have one like this in green.

Well, there you have it. The top 15 vintage items I liked on Etsy that are under $3.00 each. Some of them were just a $1.00 each. Now to decide if I want to order any of them. 

Miniature Golf

Monday evening I took three of my grandchildren miniature golfing. When I was growing up, we called it Goofy Golf. Everybody asks me why we called it that. I'm not sure, but I can tell you that if you take a 13 year old, a 7 year old and a 20 month old golfing....it does get a little goofy. We had a blast. 

Garret takes his golf game semi-seriously. But it's hard to do with Colby chasing the ball when Garret hits it. 

One thing you need to know about Colby, he loves balls. And when he gets on in his hand it is hard to get him to put it down. So he simply walked over the course with us and held tightly to his ball. 

A couple of times he got caught up in the excitement of his brother and sister hitting the hole. He would bend over and go to put his ball in the hole and change his mind and stand back up. 

He got the idea once that he would just throw the ball at the hole, but that didn't work too well. Garret knew it was better to just stand back and let him try. 

He was fascinated by Alexis's ball. He kept wanting to pick it up when she would hit it.

We made up some new rules since Colby kept chasing Garret's ball. Garret kept calling "do over". So we have decided if Colby gets on the green that you can call a do over as long as you call it before the ball stops rolling. It got hysterical after awhile. 

Colby laid his ball down so we thought he was going to take a swing, but he just picked it right back up.

He was trying to show Garret and Alexis where the hole was. 

They had a blast with the grizzly bear.

Now you see why we called it Goofy Golf. 

Add a dash of salt...

I love adding a little bath salts to my bath. It helps soak away sore muscles. The glycerin helps keep your skin smooth but the hot water does make it dry. The ones I buy come in either a bag or a box and I have been looking for something to keep them in.

I recently bought this little tea pot at a yard sale.

I buy things because I like the way they look. Then when I get home, I decide where to sit them. Even if I just buy it for looks, I love to try to find unique ideas to use my goodies for instead of what they are intended for. I don't drink tea, but I own enough tea pots to serve tea to half the town. I wanted to put this one in my master bath because it has lavender and green in it. Recently, I had bought some new bath salts and I spotted the tea pot. I decided to pour the remaining salts into the teapot to test it out. 

I just poured them into my bath water using the little pot.

Then I sit it back in the corner of my tub. It now serves a purpose and looks very pretty doing so. 

Yo Yo Maker Review

I recently have become a fan of fabric yo yo's and tried my hand at a few. Mom guided me how to make them over the phone. However, I find that I am one of those people who has to have a form or hoop or something to work on fabric or I get agitated and it never turns out right.

My dear friend Stephanie purchased me a yo yo maker at Hobby Lobby. 

Yesterday afternoon, I gathered my supplies and headed out to the porch swing to try my first yo yo with the maker.  I placed my material in the hoop, cut off the excess fabric and stitched around through the holes. 

I tied it off, removed it from the disk and gathered it. Here is my finished product. 

Then I made a white one to go with it. I was going to make a red one, but I had to go to choir practice. I have a plan for them which I will share with you in a day or two when everything is finished. 

I also picked up some orange fabric. I still need one or two more shades of orange.

Then I'm going to make me a little pumpkin for fall.

Now that I have a yo yo maker and have mastered it. I am in love with making yo yo's. Once I cut my material and started sewing, one yo yo took about 4 minutes to make. I am going to cut all my square for everything I want to do. Then when I go to make a yo you, I will just have to load the material and I'm ready to go. I do need to get over to Hobby Lobby though. I want some different size hoops now that I know how much I love working with them.
