If only....

If only...I had the day off to go to estate sales. If only...I had room in my house to put more "stuff"....

I adore this phone table. I have always wanted one of these, but not sure why because I am a pacer. I have to be up walking while I am on the phone. I rarely sit still while I talk on the phone. But I still like this.

My daughter is looking for a pie safe. She would love this.

What a gorgeous chest.

Wouldn't this be pretty painted in a pretty color?

I always love these old cabinets. Grandma Garretson had a white one.

This would be awesome for my craft room. Especially to keep my scrapbook and plastic canvas supplies in.

This would be cute for the kids room. I could redo it in a blue to go with their ocean theme.

I just love this napkin holder idea.

Wouldn't you love to have a place for this old trunk. Once it was cleaned up I bet it would be awesome.

Oh my gosh, love the Mickey & Minnie dish set.

I like the little table on the left with the drawer. That would go nice beside Hubby's recliner.

I love this clock.

Aaahh, if only...

Things I like on Thursday...

I have been checking out my Pyrex wish list compared to what I have so far. Here are my top 10 items I love and would like to find somewhere.

A set of mixing bowls in Early Americana.

A pink 403 mixing bowl.

This black rooster space saver...which is very rare to find so I don't hold out much hope.

A yellow or lime green baking dish.

Any size in the turquoise bowls.

A black and white snowflake baking dish.

The black tulips casserole.

Anything in this pattern.

The black scroll.

Any of the blue, pink or yellow space savers.

Anything in the pink with or without a design, but especially the pink daisy.

I am not sure of this pattern, but I love it.

I have this set in the Cinderella bowls, now I want the set in the mixing bowls. So far I only have the 402.

Any chip and dip set in Pyrex.

This just makes me go ahhh. Would love to find this entire set in this good of condition.

Did you realize I said top 10 but posted 15 pics...and some pics have more than one pattern. It's Pyrex, what can I say. I couldn't help myself.

UPS Strikes again...

As you know, I love UPS and FedEx. I never know when they will arrive with some goodies. (Well, I know because I get phone notifications, but you know what I mean.) I came home yesterday and found an order from Thirty-One that my sister-in-law's sister-in-law had been waiting on. I know she is going to love her goodies!

It's been a great week so far and it's only Wednesday. Sunday, my Pampered Chef lady delivered my items I earned from a Facebook Party we did together online. She called it "Shop on your seat, not on your feet." It was awesome we had a $300+ party. Hubby is off tonight so we are trying out my new pizza pan for grills on his new grill. I am loving my new stuff.

In the mail I got this sweet card from my sister. In it was this necklace. I am in love. She knows me and my flip flops.

Earlier this week, my friend Stevie was cleaning her craft room and she gave me this box.

It was about 7" tall and filled with scrapbook paper and even a couple of blank scrapbooks I can use.

She also gave me a tub of embellishments and stuff. I need to spend time sorting everything this weekend and make a couple of scrapbooks.

Speaking of scrapbooks, I work for Stevie's hubby and our office is right beside their house, so I see her every day. Yesterday, I popped over to ask her something and found scrapbook paper all over the floor.

Turns out she saw a great idea on Pinterest and she was trying it out with the help of her Mom.

Well and they had a little help with picking out the paper from Ms. Shelby Kay, Stevie's daughter.

They are creating their own patchwork wall paper pattern. It is going to be gorgeous.

What an awesome way to decorate one wall in her craft room. Plus it goes good with her new couch that she put in there as well. I think her son, Ray Ray is enjoying the new couch.

She is the friend of mine who does monogramming and appliques. She made this shirt for my granddaughter Shelby, who loves Thirty-One as a much as I do.

Stevie had brought me back this dishtowel on a recent trip she went on. I couldn't decide at first where to hang it. But I finally found the perfect place and it looks great with my black & white gooseberry Pyrex bowl.

I had ordered myself a new key fob from Thirty-One and it came yesterday. I love this pattern. It compliments my Navy Wave products. I am going to order a zipper pouch to match it.

No, I didn't get a new pair of flip flops. This is a new design of manicure file for Thirty-One. Isn't it just adorable. I love it. It came with my key fob in the mail.

After mostly sandwiches at VBS last week, I decided I needed some good old comfort food. I baked potatoes, scooped the potato out of the shell, added butter and crumbled bacon. I put it in a round cake pan and covered with cheese and baked for another 10 minutes. I paired that with scrambled eggs and homemade apple butter. It was delicious if I do say so myself.

That was Monday and I had the leftovers last night. That gave me time last night to bake chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies. They turned out really good and we had some with ice cold milk for a late night snack last night.

Well, I guess you can see I have had a fun filled week this week and it's just mid-way through. Can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings.

Happy Birthday, Mommy

Happy birthday to my Mom.

She has played such an important role in my life and I cannot imagine her not being there for me.

When we were growing up, we always came first. She always made sure we had clean clothes and kept us well fed. She made sure we learned our manners and how to treat others. She did all those wonderful Mom things, like "Wash behind your ears." "Brush your teeth." "Always wear clean underwear."

She is my best friend. Even though I live far away, she is always with me in my heart. We share so many common interests...our love for Scrabble, Rummy, Rook and Yahtzee. Good romance novels. Chocolate. Ice cream. Shopping. Sunday drives in the country. Baking cookies, cakes and candy.

We both love changing out our purses before we go shopping. We both love our plain white canvas tennis shoes. We both love to craft. We both love our Prell shampoo and our Dove soap. We both love to sit down with a big bowl of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup while we read our books.

Everything I am today is because of this beautiful woman. I love you Mom and thank God every day for all the love you have given us and for all the times we have shared.

Have a very, very, very Happy 84th birthday.

Weekend wrap up...

After my busy crazy week last week, I took it fairly easy this weekend. I did run to Knoxville with my daughter for a quick trip to A.C. Moore where I found some $1.00 sales items to create a door hanger for our hotel door at the Thirty-One National Conference.

It turned out pretty cute. Now some of the other girls want me to make some for their rooms.

Before we went to Knoxville, Shelby and I ran over to check out Kodak Heritage Days. She got her face and arm painted by her Aunt Marsha at the event.

When we were at A.C. Moore, I saw this cute little bird. I think I might try to make him.

I didn't feel like doing much when I got home, but I did get started on the kids room. I have the new comforter on and the new anchor pillow. I put out some of the beach shells and dolphins. But I still need to cover some of the pillow. It's a start. I just didn't have the energy to do anything else.

Sunday, I went to Sunday School and church and then had a bowl of ice cream for lunch. I went out to sit on the porch swing for awhile. There was a cool breeze blowing so I got a throw pillow and laid on the swing and slept for over an hour. Hubby grilled some chopped sirloin on his new grill and we had that with corn-on-the-cob, french fries and tomatoes and cucumbers for supper. It was a lazy day.
