A little shopping planned...

I need to head out today to get some Easter eggs and ribbon to make wreaths for Children's Church tomorrow. One place I want to go is Real Deal Warehouse. They have all their Easter items for 50% off. I don't need any baskets but it looks like they have a good variety.

I do need Easter Eggs. They had them last week for .75 a dozen but I couldn't make it over there. I am hoping that is one of the items that is 1/2 off because .38 cents a dozen would thrill me since I need about 20 dozen.

I need to get some ribbon for the bows on the Easter egg wreaths. I hope to find something in polka dot.

In a perfect world I could find some pastel plaid ribbon at a good price, but so far that hasn't happened.

I plan on stopping by the Skechers Outlet store just to investigate the Go Walk 2 Shoe Sock. It is apparently the most comfortable shoe around for walking. I just want to check it out and see for myself. Later this month, I plan on getting some new tennis shoes.

Hubby and I had Pizza Hut for supper last night and we had double pork sausage. It was so good. If I was one of those people who could eat pizza for breakfast, I would be having some leftovers right now. 

But I'm not. Guess I will just fix some peanut butter and toast to give me some energy for the day.

I'm so happy!

It was beautiful here yesterday. The temperature was up in the 60's. A gorgeous day. I decided to go outside an take a little walk around the yard. After two weeks of snow, we went straight into the rainy season and had rain on and off for several days. My yard felt like a marsh in places where the drainage isn't at its best. But I walked around anyway.

Yes, those are fresh buds on my Bradford pear trees.

And yes those are the little purple wild flowers that pop up when spring arrives. 

And check it out, I have green grass instead of all that white stuff. 

I do declare, what is that? You guessed it. That is my feet. In flip flops. In my yard. 

Welcome spring, my long lost friend. Oh how I have missed you. Of course I woke up to rain this morning, but my toes did have a few moments of outdoor freedom last night and that made me very happy. This weekend I will be doing the "put the boots to the back of the closet and flip flops to the front" routine. I am so happy!

Getting closer....

Spring is getting closer. Baby rabbits, ducklings, and little chicks are appearing on blogs and in store ads.

Plastic eggs are all over the stores.

I actually wore a 3/4 length sleeve shirt to work today.

With my white canvas tennis shoes. 

Do you know what that mean????

It means my next step will be bringing out the flip flops.

The rewards keep coming....

As you know, one of the benefits I love about Thirty-One is the way they reward us because we do our jobs well. I recently took up and order and met the goal they had set for the month. That earned me free Jewelry from their new JK by Thirty-One jewelry line. My free products came yesterday and I am thrilled!

Back in February, for our Celebrate & Connect meeting, they rewarded everyone with their own initial from the JK line. We each got one of the monogrammed initial necklaces with the initial to our first name. 

I just love my job. 

Weekend Wrap Up

So happy to announce we had a snow-free, ice-free rain-free weekend. The temperature even got back up in the 50's. I headed to Knoxville on a mission. I had met a couple of ladies through a local Pyrex trade group and we were all going to be in Knoxville on Saturday so I set up some trades. 

The first item I got was this adorable casserole. The lady called it a Green Honeysuckle. I really like it. It is in mint condition. 

I googled it and found out it is actually called Floral Casserole. It it considered a non-standard Pyrex pattern from 1960. A few years later they changed the pattern to gold and called it Golden Honeysuckle. I am really thrilled to have something that apparently was only manufactured about 3 years.

The next item I got was the Fire King Candleglow loaf pan. My first ever vintage loaf pan. I couldn't be happier. I love this pattern.

My best trade of the day was my divided dish in my new favorite pattern, Horizon Blue. It was in excellent condition.

I had two more pieces I needed to trade. I shipped one out this morning. I traded it for the orange hydrangea Glasbake loaf pan. She sent me a pick before shipping it. I should get it one day this week. I can't wait.

My last item I am trying to trade is the Tulip oval Pyrex but the lady hasn't responded. This is what she has offered me and I definitely said yes, I would trade for the stripes. I love this bowl and it is the bigger one so I am really thrilled. I sent her all the pics from the tulip and hope she says yes today. I would love to have this piece.

That was about all accomplished on Saturday other than getting some groceries. Sunday was Sunday School and church followed by relaxing in the afternoon after entering a party order for my Thirty-One business. I went to choir practice last night. We watched a new show on the Food Network and then went to bed early to try to get back the hour we lost with the time change. All in all, a very pleasant weekend.

Let me just say WOW!

I wanted to share something with all my fellow Pyrex fans. They have introduced a few new pieces as part of their 100th anniversary. So I had to check it out. They have revamped the popular measuring cup set that has been with red numbers as long as I can remember. You can check all the new styles I am featuring today by visiting the Pyrex site or the Corningware site.

I have fallen in love with the turquoise one. The bigger numbers are perfect for my older age.

From what I saw on their website, the 4 cup still comes in the red.

But the best thing I think they have is the famous Dot pattern in a new style bowl with a lid. Loving the red. This is going on my wish list.

Not a big fan of the green, but wanted to show you the options.

The navy is pretty.

But my fave, fave, fave is the turquoise dots. I am looking for this today. From what I am hearing from my Pyrex groups, these bowls range from $4.99 - $6.99, depending on where you find them. I am checking Target. I know for a fact they have the turquoise measuring cup. And rumor has it that the Corningware store in Sevierville has the bowls. I will be a woman on a mission this weekend. That is for sure.

While I was on the Corningware site, I discovered all these beautiful new baking dishes in a wide variety of color.

And check out the one with a pattern. Does this remind anybody of the old Pyrex Verde square flowers pattern?

This is there newest bakeware set. Four pieces for under $50. I have seen women pay $80 for 4 piece set of the vintage so this isn't bad for brand new. 

While I was on Corningware's site, I had to pop over to see the Corelle dish pattern. I think Mom would love the new Square Country Dawn pattern.

 

All the new patterns are so gorgeous that it makes me want to have a huge yard sale and sell all my dish sets and get brand new. I really like the new Impressions Sunshine pattern.

And before Christmas I would love to have the Cheerful Flurry.

But then I saw these and thought they would be perfect for my new dishes. I like the Spring Pink pattern. 

But THEN I saw the Happy Days pattern and fell in love. 

But at the same time, there is something so simple and down to earth with the Livingware Tree & Bird pattern.

But then I saw the South Beach. I am all about those dots right now so I just can't decide which pattern I would like the best.

Guess I'll just keep my existing dishes until I can make up my mind.
