Fun Friday

I'm heading out this morning to see a friend who is getting ready for a yard sale. I saw a sneak preview of a couple of things and I am know I'm going to get a good deal on some new Halloween decor. Doesn't hurt to plan ahead. I am in the mood to decorate for fall, but I always wait till after Labor Day. But that doesn't mean I can't start getting some ideas from Pinterest. Here are a few things I found that I can choose from if I want to make something.

This little squirrel is just too precious. He could stay out from Fall - Thanksgiving.

My Children's Church kids would love this.

Spooky but cute.

Super simple but super easy.

I absolutely love this one.

Another version of the candy jar pumpkin.

Another good idea for kids. Love this one. I could even draw that.

This looks super easy. Just sound round orange felt stuck in a styrofoam ball with stick pins.

Oh my stars, what a cute simple pattern to make.

More jar ideas.

And even more jar ideas.

This would be fun and easy for any occassion. I would make it with using different types of scrapbook paper for the holidays.

Well, lots of fun ideas. A trip to Hobby Lobby is in my future.

Some cute Plastic Canvas items....

I love plastic canvas and I especially love working on it in the fall when cool weather gets here. I went to find some new patterns of things to do...especially coasters. Aren't these adorable.

Love the vivid colors in these.

Some cute candy cane things for Christmas.

Loving blue and brown for this fall.

And for all you sports fans, check out the football ones.

Here is an assortment. Of course, I love the teapot as well.

What cute little birdhouses.

Very patriotic.

Oh my gosh! So cute and so easy. Love for Halloween.

And I love anything with poinsettias.

Well, lots of great ideas of things to make and I have tons of yarn.

Wednesday Humor

I love cats and it just stands to reason that I would love Lolcats, (funny cat pictures with hilarious captions). I thought for a little humor to day I would share some of my favorites.

And one of my favorites.

I gotta be me.....

The more people get to know me, the more they are surprised at what they find. I am not a typical 58 year old granny.

For example, did you know that even though Southern Gospel and Country are my favorite music genres to listen to, I can still be found jamming with Guns & Roses, Bon Jovi or Poison.

Did you know that as much as I am known for my flip flops, my real love is warm, fuzzy socks to wear around the house?

Did you know that even though I love Pepsi and am well known for it being my favorite drink, I mostly drink Mayfield Tru Moo Chocolate Milk when I am home and want something to drink.

Did you know that even though I buy a lot of clothes and bags in dots, stripes or Chevron that almost ever room in my house has a floral theme.

Did you know that even though I love vintage and I am always on the lookout for a good Pyrex find, that when you leave my kitchen I have tea pots, tea cups, or tea for one sets in every room of the house?

Did you know that even though I am an avid reader of romance novels, I still love reading Archie and Richie Rich comic books when I can find them?

Did  you know that even though I get teased about wanting pizza or chicken every time I go out to eat, that my favorite meal in the whole world is a homemade hamburger fried in an iron skillet and covered with American cheese, dill pickles and mustard; served with a side of barbecue potato chips made by Snyder's of Berlin.

Did you know that while Christmas is by far my favorite holiday, I adore anything to do with Halloween.

And last, but not least, I am famous for my love of candy. But nobody knows that my all time favorite snack to have at night is to take Karo dark corn syrup and mix it up really good with soft butter and then dip my biscuits in it.

So, you don't know me as well as you thought you did, huh?

Weekend Wrap Up

I had a tiring weekend for some reason. I attended my Thirty-One meeting and it was a big success. I was awarded this necklace charm with my favorite word....BELIEVE for achieving the level of Senior Consultant.

Later that afternoon when I was stopping in Walmart, I fell in love with this little towel. Not sure what I will do with it, but I really liked it.

Sunday at church, my friend, Georgeanna gave me some cute little napkins she found at a vintage store. I love them.

Sunday the visit choir was marvelous.

After lunch on Sunday, I felt bad so I laid down and slept 3 hours. Then I woke up, fixed supper, ate and cleaned up the mess. Then I laid on the couch and slept a couple more hours. I was exhausted. I did go to work today, but as I am sitting here typing this evening, I feel my eyes watering and my head starting to hurt. I hope I am not getting sick.

Sunday Songs

Can't wait for 10:30 this morning to hear this awesome choir at our church. I hope they sing Happy Day. I love that song and love the way they do it.

Happy Saturday

I am going to have to check the thermostat a little closer when I go to bed at night. I woke up and it was so cold that I turned the fireplace on.

I attended a Jamberry Nails Facebook party last night. I am thinking about getting a set. Here are some I liked. What are your thoughts? I love all kinds of nail colors, but I have forever and will always love red.

I also like this shade...even though I am not sure what you call it. But I do like it.

And if it is pink and it sparkles, I will love it.

I have been looking everywhere for Chrome nail polish and can't find it so I am pretty sure I will end up buying this set simply because it is a color I can't find in nail polish.

I am heading out this morning to my Better Together meeting with my Thirty-One sisters. Can't wait to see what new info and training we get today.

I made brownie muffins and peanut butter cookie muffins with grated Hershey's Kisses on top.

I have to stop at the store and get some orange sherbet, orange pineapple juice and 7-Up so I can make my favorite punch as well.

I get to do the devotion at our meeting today. I picked as my verse Ecclesiastes 4:9 - Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. (NIV). I picked this verse because the theme of our meeting is being better together.

Tomorrow morning we won't have Children's Church so I get a break from thinking up a craft for the week. We are having a guest concert by the Wilmington Celebration Choir. They are in town for a concert performance with the Bill Gaither Trio tonight so they are coming to sing for us tomorrow morning. (The choir is, not the Gaither's.)

It's going to be a busy, fun weekend.
