Feeling beachy today

The beach is in my blood and I'm already looking forward to my annual summer beach trip.

I would love to find a sign like this.

What a cute saying.

I can't think beach without thinking flip flops.

This is going to be my beach "To Do" list this year.

What beautiful bracelets, but I couldn't wear anything this overwhelming. Just one layer with the blue beads, starfish, sand dollar and flip flop would work for me.

Read these books once before and they are so good I may read at the beach again this year.

I am loving this dish towel.

And last, check out t his office space with the beach theme. How cute is this?

Well, that's all for today.

Weekend wrap up

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter weekend. Our weather was gorgeous up in the day, even though the morning had a little nip in the air. I went to Sunrise Service. We are on top a hill and seeing the sun peak up through the trees is breathtaking.

Saturday, a friend left this on my desk. Chocolate. Mint. What's not to love!

Another friend knows I am making flower arrangements and she gave me these beautiful tulips. They are so dainty.

My daughter discovered a new home goods store in Knoxville and bought me this gorgeous pitcher. I am loving it.

When I got to church a friend gave me an Easter egg and it had this gorgeous bracelet in it.

I did work about 6 hours last night, but that gave me time to have my Easter dinner. Plus I took deviled eggs and brownie cookies to work with me so that is always a big hit when you take food to work. Picking up the three youngest grandchildren this evening and keeping them for the next two days. It's hard to tell what all we will do, but it is guaranteed to be fun.

Shoe times

It's that time of year when I need to check into some more comfortable shoes. I do miss the days when Tretorn shoes were found everywhere. I don't even know if they still make them. But they were my favorite go to tennis shoes for the warm weather months when flip flops were not appropriate.

Then there was my Grasshopper stage where I wore the lightweight canvas or leather plain white Grasshoppers.

I did like my Nike's really well. I saw these on one site and kind of like them.

But I really what a pair of sandals that have a little support. These were cute.

And I actually tried these on at Skechers Outlet last week. My feet would love me if I got these. I wish I could wear sandals to work. I may end up getting these. May not be beautiful but the comfort level was unreal.

Flip flops are so much easier to buy than regular shoes. You just try on, sigh with happiness and purchase.

It all started with a tree...

So unworthy of everything He has done and continues to do for me. The ultimate sacrifice was paid on that old tree by the one who loves me and you.

It's almost Easter...

I am a planner. I like to know what is I'm going to do in advance. So if that Easter is just a few days away and I haven't planned much except to purchase a new Easter outfit?

So this morning I picked out the shoes and jewelry I have that I want to wear. I do need to pick up a new pair of white pants to go with the top I purchased. I made a grocery list. I don't do a traditional ham. I like to make ham and cheese croissant roll ups.

And I will make some potato salad like I did last year.

And baked beans.

I am going to make regular deviled eggs, but I am also going to make some orange and cherry jello eggs like the green ones I did a few years ago.

I may even run by the Apple Barn and get me some orange creams for my Easter candy.

Okay, panic attack over for the delay. I can keep calm now that I have a plan.

Odds and ends...

First off this morning, I want to wish my husband who is in heaven a very Happy Anniversary. We were married 37 years ago today. He will always be the great love of my life. Happy anniversary, sweetheart. This is my favorite picture of us because it was taken at our favorite place, Panama City Beach. Check out how I am holding his hand. That is exactly how I was holding it when he took his last breath.

I made the flower arrangement in the glass I showed you yesterday. I am so happy with how it turned out. I am taking it to my office to put on my desk. But I am also thinking about getting another glass and making one for my dining room. Check out how well the colors go with my wallpaper border. The drinking glass made an amazing vase.

And last, a little humor to brighten your day.

Have a blessed day!
