We fall down, we get up. We stress. We worry. We feel like we don't belong. We get depressed. We think we are nothing. God thinks we are everything. Believe Him because we belong to Him.

Bringing it up to speed.....
I am stopping back in to TRY to get back to my daily posting. It has been a summer of changes. My work hours have shifted some and I have been picking up extra time on the phones. I've not gotten to spend as much time with the grandkids this year. Some of my schedule change resulted in me being off on Saturdays and since Colby has ball on Saturday's I didn't get them as much. Some weeks I worked and extra day because we are shorthanded and I didn't have much choice. I also had a part time job on Monday's a few times with someone who hired me to help her set up her office and get all her papers organized. That took more time than I thought it would and used a lot of my Monday's up. So it has been a busy summer but not in the way I hoped it would be. Sometimes life just gets in the way of having fun. Since the last time I posted, my best friend, Aaron, had a birthday. He turned the BIG 30. A bunch of us from work went out with him to celebrate. We had a great time.
One day that I had the kids we went to the new Pirate's Voyage. The food was great and the show was fantastic. I'm not a big fan of Pirate's (except the ones in the Descendents' movies). But I did like it.
I went on my first plane ride this year. And my first trip to Miami. While in Miami, we took a day trip to Key West on a tour bus. The whole trip was amazing and I will be sharing more of that soon. I took a ton of pictures so I have to go through and pick out the best. But one four day weekend with two of my girlfriends knocked 3 items off my bucket list.
And a certain little girl had a birthday. My granddaughter Shelby turned 11 recently. She did her hair by herself in a cute bun and at the exact moment she turned 11 she took a selfie.
Hard to believe she is 11. She always has a smile for the camera. She has a very quirky personality.
As you can see, she hasn't outgrown it any. She decided to use a candle ring to see if it would make a good crown. We never know what she is going to do.
The Grands each get to spend a day with me around their birthday and do anything they want. Shelby picked going to the Stampede for dinner and the show. I gladly went even though it was one of my days off from being there to work. But we had a great time.
Her birthday party was at her house this year. We had a great time.
Yesterday, I had Colby and Alexis and we went to Dollywood. It was so much fun. We loved Wildwood Grove, the newest area there.
They did a man-made "creek" in that part and we were able to "wade" in the creek.
It was so much fun. My favorite picture was of all three of us with our feet in the water. I love water over feet photos for some reason. Just the very picture of relaxation.
So that is a quick overview of the summer. School starts back this week and we are going to try to do something Monday to have some fun.

Weekend Wrap Up
This past weekend back to Thursday was nice. I got to have breakfast at Frizzle Chicken with my niece and her family. My little great niece, Makenzi, is a sweet heart. She loves her great Aunt B.
They brought me a little gift. A Pink Zebra tart warmer and some tarts to go with it. I am loving it.
I stopped by Hobby Lobby one day and picked up some yarn I wanted. I lvoe the Yarn Bee brand. It is just .99 cents a skein and perfect for plastic canvas.
While I was there I looked at some of their fall items just to get ideas. I have some Thanksgiving chipmunks I love. So when I saw this little set of fall squirrels I am thinking I may go back and get them.
Of all the things I saw, this made me want it so bad. Watching for the 40% off sale and going back to get it.
I sat out my Fourth of July table centerpieces. Check out my little pie bird and salt dip on the two sides.
Of course, there are daisies in the kitchen. Except at Christmas there are always daisies somewhere in the kitchen.
Worked most of the weekend. I got sick Sunday night at work and have been feeling puny all day. Feeling a little better now, but still going to have a light supper. Hope you are having a good Monday.

Yearning for Yarn
Whether in a cabinet or on my baker's rack, each stacked bowl is separated from these little dishclothes my sister and my friend make me. It is the perfect thing to keep them stable but raise them up so you can see the rims of the other bowls.
Posting about these dishclothes made me yearn to start some yarn crafts again. I am going to go to Hobby Lobby and get some yarn. I let my stash get low so I need to stock it back up. They have so much to choose from.
I want some red and gray to make some coasters or perhaps a box.
I am going to try to make a coaster with the fringe on the ends. I have never done that. I'll let you know how it works out when I make one.
One of these days I am going to get brave enough to knit or learn to crochet an afghan in the ripple weave so I can make one in these colors. I just love this.
Well, I have a lot on my to do list today. I guess I better get busy. Have a great day.

Some antique time...
My friend, Aaron, and I went antique shopping this past Saturday. I found a few good deals. One was this adorable little tea for one set. It was the smallest tea for one I have ever seen.
I love old shorthand books and this is one of a series from 1899.
In shorthand you write the words based on their sounds not the actual regular spelling. So this book is written that way. It was hard to figure out at first. But then I realized what they had done and it made it easier to read.
The fun find of the day was when Aaron showed me this silver tea set that was in perfect condition at a great price. I knew it had to come home with me.
It was a great shopping expedition.
