Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....NOT

Snow has hit town .... again. I am working from home....again. This seems to be a weekly thing this winter. However, I am tired of it. Don't get wrong, it is beautiful and I love being blessed with a job that I can still get my work done from the comfort of my home, but I am done with winter. We do not get nearly the winters that others get up North so I guess we shouldn't complain. Since we rarely get any snow to amount to much and even then only once or twice a year, it is crippling to our little county when a big one comes our way. Some places have about 8-9" but we just have around 5-6" at my house, but again the most we normally get is 1 - 2" if any so this is impressive to us.

This is my front yard. Like I said we got, about 5" give or take.

This is from one of our neighboring cities.

And this comes from the county next door.

I love this picture. This is Market Square in Knoxville. It is beautiful any time of year, but it looks great in the snow.

This is a huge snowball fight at the University of Tennessee. They closed today because of the weather and I heard that they never close for snow so that is pretty impressive.

Only I can look at snow pictures and find a craft project to do. Isn't this little guy cute, I must fix me one before next winter. This is going on my Pinterest list.

I thought this sign was really cute. I agree. Even if you are blessed to be able to stay home during a snow event, there are many that have no choice but to go out in the weather for personal reasons so please don't wish for a blizzard.

Then I stumbled on this and I realized, it can't snow forever. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

And on that note, I leave you with this thought....

Random Wednesday

My brain is not functioning well today. I have that nasty flu bug that is going around. I hate a sick tummy. So I am just going to share a couple things I saw on Facebook that caught my eye. I love this idea to catch the snow and mud from boots.

We are under a winter storm warning....again. Since I am at home sick, I sent hubby to the store to get me some soup and Sprite.

Saw this cute little cartoon and thought I would share it.

This is in the Oconaluftee River on the Cherokee Reservation. A gorgeous herd of elk just taking a stroll through the river.

My heart was saddened by the death of Shirley Temple. I grew up on her movies and spent many, many hours watching them over and over.

I had a head full of curls back then as well and Mom always called them my Shirley Temple curls. Here I am at two years old with my Daddy.

Well, back to the couch to spend the day. Hope you have a great over the hump day.

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday was an awesome day since one of my customers received her Thirty-One order and we got to oooo and ahhhh and some of the gorgeous stuff that was in it. One of my favorite orders was the new Citrus Medallion and the Sweet Tweets patterns.

I have two classes in Sunday School that I go from room to room to do the crafts. I needed a new bag for my essentials. When one of the other teaches saw me in the hallway, she said "What do you do hop from room to room to do crafts?" We laughed about it but it gave me this great idea for the personalization on my new zipper pouch....Craft Hopper.

This was all my stuff that will co-ordinate together for church. I love it.

I went to my Thirty-One C & C meeting Saturday and one of my granddaughters went with me because her Mom had something she needed to do. The only problem was when I go my amenity, Shelby claimed it as hers because it has a slot to put shoes and she takes dance and has three pairs of shoes she has to take with her to dance class.

Saturday night my oldest grandson, Garret, stayed all night and we had game night. He beat me at everything we played. We had an awesome game of Monopoly.

I was doing pretty good until he got hotels on the yellow properties. I landed on Ventnor and paid for a hotel. I was almost broke and I rolled again and got snake eyes which put me on Marvin Gardens a I went bankrupt,

I did remember to get pics of the new bag for summer before Shelby took it.

It is really roomy with several inside pockets.

And the famous outside zipper pocket for shoes.

I got an email from Staples Sunday morning with my rewards points for January. So I decided to stop there on my way home from taking Garret back. I had $11.90 in free money. There total showed $11.40 but when I printed the coupons out, it was $11.90.

I knew what I wanted. I use notebooks a lot for my Thirty-One business and I just love the Martha Stewart line so I got one of the new Martha Stewart three ring binds.

I got this little note pad to put on my desk at home to job down good things that happen to keep me motivated in my business.

I got some tab dividers as well. They match the notebook color.

And I picked up a couple of folders that I saw that caught my eye.

I had a really great weekend.

Exciting day ahead....

Every other month I get to attend a Celebrate and Connect meeting with all my Thirty-One "sisters". It is something I really look forward to each month. We have a meeting this morning. There is always awesome training and it is great to see all my friends. Not to mention we always get a really cool amenity for attending. I just love freebies.

Last week, I got my start up kit for Avon. I'm turning into a regular Direct Sales gal. Thirty-One is my passion and that will always be what I strive hardest for. But I have certain things I have always used from Avon and every time I need it, my previous Avon lady has quit selling it and I can't find another one for months. So I decided I would just start selling it so I can get what I need...and I'll save money doing that. I just mentioned in passing that I was going to sell it and already have 8 people needing books because they lost their Avon lady. I may even make a little money at this after all.

After my meeting today, I am going to pick up my oldest grandson to spend the night with me. We are having game night. I'm pretty sure we will order pizza and wings for supper. The child loves his wings. But it will just depend on what he's in the mood for.

Tomorrow, at Sunday School the children are going to make some cute Valentine's to present to some special people at church. I got some of the supplies last night, but I just need to decide how to do what I want them to do.

What plans do you have for the day?

Things of Interest

I wanted to share some things I have seen this week that I really like. The first one is a new tote bag made by my friend Stephanie over at Stevie Maries. Every bit of this is handmade, even the handles.

She is also making some gorgeous dishtowels. I love these, especially with the Kitchen Aid mixer on it.

Check out her Facebook page and LIKE it when you get a chance.

Her new pocket pillow cases are all the rage for all ages. This has become a big item for her.

I also saw this on a Facebook post and I am going to have to try it.

Another thing that caught my eye was from an ad on TV last night. It was the new Butterfinger Peanut Butter cup. I need to find these in a store somewhere. My hubby has two favorite candy bars...Butterfinger and Reese Cups so this new candy bar will be right up his alley.

The final thing I found of interest was a commercial for a special that is going to be on TV Sunday night. I am going to have to make a note to make sure I watch it. It is a tribute to The Beatles that will air exactly 50 years after their first appearance in America on the Ed Sullivan Show. I saw that. I was 7 years old. I will have to watch this show. It will be Paul and Ringo and a lot of big stars to celebrate the night. It's going to be awesome.
