My Wish List

You all know how much I love selling Thirty-One. I love the products and can't remember the last time I carried a purse, a tote or a thermal that wasn't Thirty-One. As spring is now underway, I find myself looking at the catalog again and making my wish list. I always do my own parties and Facebook parties as the hostess so I can earn free products. Here are some of the items on my wish list this season.

I love anchors. And this is the perfect bag for when I go to yard sales and antique stores. Shoulder strap for over the shoulder carry and has 2 zipper pockets inside and one regular pocke.

I love the big totes. These are perfect for so many uses.

This is new in the spring gift guide. It is a small wristlet for those quick jaunts to the store.

I want this for my coupons. I never seem to be able to keep them in one place. Or worse yet, they are on my desk when I am at the store.

I really, really like the new personalization options.

This is my dream purse. I actually got to touch one like it one day and I am in super love with it.

But the number one item on this gal's wish list is this bag personalized with a 31 Chick. I love this. I want this one to take as my conference bag this year when I go.

If anyone ever wants to have a Facebook party for your friends and to earn you some free products, just let me know. We do the party as a Facebook event and invite your FB friends and family. There is a link provided and they shop from the comfort of their home. If they live near you, it can ship to you for delivery, or they can opt to have it ship right direct to them. And you still earn all the benefits of the hostess without having to clean house for fix food. Plus you party in your p.j.'s and nobody knows the difference.

God paints a pretty picture...

Friday Foto Friends with Breathing in Grace

Allen loved the time of evening where the sky was clear pretty and it was nearing sunset. Not quite dusk but the sun was start to sink lower in the sky. We would set outside sometimes for hours and just talk about our day or simply said and enjoy the sound of the evening coming to a close. I guess that is why that has become my favorite time of day to go visit him. I go by about once a week, sometimes more sometimes less. I always go before the sunsets but when the evening in coming to a close. I tell him about my life and what is going on with the family. Sometimes it is upbeat when I talk to him and sometimes it is me just whining and pouting. But whatever it is, I always have this beautiful evening view as I visit with him. This was my view last night when I went to see him and let him know how great our little grandson Colby did as a first baseman on his ball team. It was a gorgeous night and I came away feeling peaceful.

Throwback Thursday

Wow. I must really have like bell bottoms. I do remember that was one of my favorite outfits.

My sweet babies when they were so tiny.

There's just something about April 13th

People are sometimes superstitious about Friday the 13th. But I am becoming leery of April 13th. My memories on Facebook popped up this morning and as I glanced through them, I realized I was injured three times in the past on April 13th.

One year, I was changing a shower head because I am so independent and didn't want to wait a couple hours to hubby got home. I slipped and almost fell off the step stool and wrenched my back as I twisted.

Another year, I was wiping down the kitchen walls between my upper cabinets and counter top. Apparently, I forgot there were upper cabinets and raised straight up and banged my head so Hubby had me stay awake to make sure I didn't have a concussion.

But the worst was in 2014 when I flipped open my bamboo hamper to put clothes in and I stopped putting them in without the lid all the way open and I drove a piece of the bamboo straight up my knuckle.

You can see where the start is by the hump at the top line of my knuckle and it ended in the hump under the third line of my knuckle. I tried tweezers, used a needle to try to open it up, everything but couldn't get it out. It was so painful I felt that I almost had a panic attack. Hubby was on his way home from work so when he got there, he tried and there was not way it was coming out. We went to the emergency room. A saddle block shot in the palm of my hand, a shot they called "a local" in the finger where the splinter was. That was almost as painful as it shoving in my knuckle in the first place. Then he used a scalpel to slice a cut at the top of the splinter so he could pull it out. His tweezers were to big to get it out. So, he called down to ER to see if they had smaller ones. I jokingly said "I have a mini Swiss knife that has little tweezers." He surprised me by saying "Great. Let me see them."

Allen got them out of my purse. The doctor declared them perfect and grabbed the splint and pulled it right out. Whew, glad that was over. I felt such relief. Until he says "Now for a tetanus shot since you haven't had one in 15 years." UGH!

So you can see why I am dreading April 13th. Going to walk very carefully, look before I put anything up, and basically stay in my seat as much as I can today. I'll be paranoid all day now.

A long week....

Is it Friday yet? I'm not having a bad week, I'm just having a busy week. I am so tired of my two spare rooms being a wreck. But I'm accumulating stuff for the big yard sale this weekend so the boxes are in the middle of the floor of one of the rooms. The other room I am organizing a closet as I go so stuff is piled on the bed and the floor as I pull things out and go through them. It's disaster city. But at least the rest of the house is clean and the laundry is caught up. My goal is to finish the yard sale stuff tonight and finish the closet by Thursday. I can't work on either project tomorrow night because it is business meeting at church. But my plan is to have everything accomplished by Friday. This is how my craft room is supposed to look but I can't even find my table for all the stuff piled on it while I sort.

My next couple of weekends is going to be crazy. The yard sale this weekend and then next weekend a wedding shower that I need to decorate for. I need to go sometime this weekend to get the rest of the stuff. But next Friday I am putting what doesn't sell at this yard sale into a sale at my friends house. I will be helping do that on Friday and then decorating for the shower on Friday night. Then the shower Saturday morning. After clean up at the shower, I have some errands to run. That Sunday after church, I think I will sleep for the rest of the day.

Loving my finds.

I am getting ready to be in a 10 mile yard sale this weekend. I've been cleaning out closets and trunks that I didn't clean out on my last yard sale. In doing so, I found a tablecloth I thought I had gotten rid of but didn't. I was thrilled. This is to me a true country tablecloth and goes so well with my color scheme in my "farmhouse" style kitchen. I had to take the leaf out of the table for this one to fit, but I can put it back in when the kids come to visit.

When I was at Mom's she gave me some items for my yard sale that we found in her storage building. Needless to say, I loved all of it so it is getting a little shining up and going in my house instead of my yard sale. I love the wire basket. I am going to scrub it up and spray paint it country brick red and fill it with white plastic eggs a friend found for me on clearance.

Mom loves roosters and chickens like I do so she had this to give me as well. I am thinking about finding some pretty herb or cactus in artificial plants to fill these with.

A cute tart warmer to make the kitchen smell good. Now to go find some tarts.

This is a cute little rooster plaque that I will hang somewhere.

In one box, I saw this white casserole dish and picked it up and it was vintage Fire King. I asked Mom where she got it and she said she didn't know but I could have it if I wanted it. Well, of course I did. It will be perfect for my baked beans.

As you can see, I got some good stuff. I also got tons of yarn and tons of books which I am going to put in my yard sale. Have a great week.
