Enjoy your life....
Sometimes things just really bother me that probably shouldn't, but I get over it pretty fast. Except yesterday. I was so highly offended and I just can't seem to shake it. In a general conversation with another lady (who isn't necessarily a friend of mine, but I've known her several months now) I mentioned that I rarely watch TV. That when I am home, I like to be reading or crafting or just doing things around the house instead of laying on the couch watching TV. Her comment back to me was like a slap in the face. She said "Do you know what your problem is? You don't know how to enjoy life." I was floored. First it was rude. And second, HELLO! Have you met me? I know how to enjoy life. I have always said it is the little things that bring us joy.
Like making homemade from scratch bacon gravy for the very first time and it turning out delicious...
Or getting a thrill every time I walk by my wine rack because I love the way I decorated it.
And what about doing a happy dance in Walmart when I found a soap that I loved that we have in the bathroom at work. Come on now, it's just soap but I was thrilled to find this fragrance.
And what about crocheting a chain and making a little rough version of a wreath I saw on Pinterest just to see if I could do it. And then being very proud of myself that I did it.
And what about getting up early and making a brownie Reese trifle to take to work to surprise them just because I know they love peanut butter.
Or finding something I really love at a yard sale for a really good price.
Or the time I can relax just reading crazy cat meme's.
Or how a simple cup of hot cocoa can make me feel so good and relaxed.
And those times when I find the perfect apple butter and plan a whole meal around the apple butter.
And don't forget the fact that I absolutely love to bake and could just stay in my kitchen for hours baking.
And saving the best for last, but the enjoyment and sheer bliss that comes with being around my family. Even if all we do is hangout and eat spaghetti and watch Zootopia.
Even people in my life that barely know me comment on the fact that I find so much pleasure in the little things. So please do not ever assume I do not know how to enjoy life.

Putting the gloves on....
Yesterday as I was helping scan tickets at work, it got a little nippy. It made me think about winter and how my hands will free when I do any of the jobs that require me to be outside part of the day, like group greeting. I got to thinking I will need some warm gloves. But the problem is at some point I will be handing out tickets on the groups and the gloves will have to come off. Unless.......
I buy some fingerless gloves. So of course, me being me, I Goggled them. Here were some results I found.
There are some that just have one thumb hole and the rest of the glove is opened, but your hands and wrists would be nice and warm.
Then there are styles like but excuse me how is this a glove? This is simply a pretty cuff to keep your wrist warm. But I do like it.
The you have the type that I call a flip back mitten. You can flip back the finger section and keep your hands till warm. Then when you don't need your fingers for a while, you can close them back up into mittens. I really like this style.
And then there is the classic part of the fingers is covered and the tips are still free.
This type also comes with the flip back mitten cover. Perfect for typing if you are in an outside booth where the air comes in your little booth window.
Then there are those that look like people just cut their glove off at the length they want. Lots of opportunity to unravel if you ask me.
I saw these with buttons and thought. Hmm. I like the cable knit but not sure I want my gloves to "stare" at me. Then I realized they were cute and decided I like them.
But this owl pair was probably my favorite of all. Too, too adorable. Ms. Debbie at Breathing in Grace needs these.
Either way I go, I see some investments in gloves in my future this winter.

The day ahead....
What is it that causes the simplest plans to go astray? I did get some crafts done yesterday, but not as much as I had hoped. However, that was my fault because I got sidetracked .... a lot.... by myself. I decided to get some of my Halloween stuff out. I'm going to finish that project and some more crafts today and again over the weekend. So hopefully, by Monday I'll have some great posts to show. Here is just a sneak peak showing one of the mini no-sew runners I made.
In the meantime....An update on last night. My Thirty-One meeting was fabulous and I learned a lot of new tips and techniques to use in my business. I feel like I was kind of floating the last few months because I just couldn't seem to stay organized and focused. But I came away with some amazing ideas so I'm going to go spend today getting my Thirty-One business back on track and organized. I'm going to do a Facebook party so I can take advantage of the new Hostess Exclusive offer of the medium utility tall with the insert and lid for just $25.00. It comes in other patterns, but I want the snow men.
We also got the Holiday Gift Guide last night with the new line of items offered for Christmas. Here's just a few of the items.
October is always a great month for a party. Two of my followers have already held Facebook parties with me. We party for a week on Facebook. You never leave your home and the only thing you need to do is invite your Facebook friends and share the party link with your friends and family. That's it. I do the rest by posting every day in the Facebook event, playing games and answering questions. The last three Facebook parties I have had the hostesses earned anywhere from $55 - $110 in free products, one or two 1/2 price items, and the choice to purchase one of the four hostess exclusive items at very low prices. Let me know if you want to try a party.

I'm loving Monday....
I am loving Monday this week because it is one of my days off. It's always a good day when you don't have to work. Over the past few days, I've put in some extra long days and it feels good to be at the house in my jammies just doing what I feel like doing. I did manage to pic up a couple of things for my crafts. I got the Santa's to go with the Snowmen from Hobby Lobby. Just need to make them. And I picked up the pine cone pick for another craft I'm making. I planning on turning the spoons into Snowmen for Christmas.
I am working over the next couple of days on some of my crafts. I'll let you see things when I get them done.
I had a totally amazing night last night with my family and the extended family through my daughter-in-laws side. We gathered at Big Daddy's Pizza for Colby's birthday party.
He loves pizza places with arcades so needless to say I put in some arcade time. Can't pass an arcade without a little Skee Ball. Got a great picture of my son and his sons (my grandsons).
My daughter-in-law stayed pretty busy but finally caught her long enough to get a pic.
Colby with his cookie cake and his cousin Kingston on his Mom's side.
My granddaughter's hanging out with Colby and Kingston waiting for some cookie cake.
My daughter and her husband. I think the adults had as much fun in the arcade as the kids did.
My son-in-law and his son, my other grandson.
Family on my daughter-in-laws side. I consider them all my extended family. I am extremely blessed that my daughter-in-law and my son-in-law come from good families and I always have a blast when I get together with either side of the families.
More of the extended family.
Today, I have a few things I'm working on for Children's Church planning, but later this afternoon I get to head out to Panera Bread for some dinner and a Thirty-One Better Together meeting with my Thirty-One gals. Look forward to it.
It's been a great few days and I think it is going to keep getting better.
