Getting excited....
I always find things I love on Pinterest, but either forget to do them or think they are beyond my expertise. I cannot paint. I'm no artist at all. But I really, really loved this that I posted the other day.
I have a friend who is part Cherokee and has an amazing artistic talent from face painting all the way to wall murals in local attractions. So I asked her if she could possibly do this for me. She said drop off the jar I wanted to use and she would do it. She suggested these colors: turquoise, black, brown , coral, Indian rose, white and maybe a silver metallic. So I took her this jar minus the lid. And all she is charging me is a batch of my peanut butter candy. I love to barter.
I also saw this pretty dream catcher on Pinterest. I bet it would be easy to make. I'm going to Google how to make a dream catcher to see if I can do this.
I also liked this little thing somebody made called a sun catcher. It's adorable.
But what I saw that I absolutely fell in love with was this......
Talk about talented.
Well that's it for today. Have a great weekend.

Friday Foto Friends
I know that bloggers tend to get a little excited about clouds and skies and sunrise and sunset. So when you see a sunrise like this, it is very hard to NOT grab our camera. These were Thursday morning around 6:30 a.m. at my house.
Thanks Ms. Debbie for Friday Foto Friends and a chance to share our pics.

Felt a little crafty...
As I used the last of the peanut butter, I went to start a grocery list for those "out of" items I don't want to forget. I normally write them on a piece of paper and then forget they are written down. As I was turning off the kitchen light, I thought "I need something to hang by the light switch for these HAVE to remember items. And I remembered I have a little chalk board (I love chalk boards). A light bulb went off in my head and I knew I wouldn't be happy with just hanging a plain chalkboard. So I gathered some items together and got to work.
First I opened a pack of jewelry wire I had never used. It is brown and is sturdy so I thought it would work perfect.
I dug in my tool drawer and found two tiny tack nails.
I made a loop in the wire so it would fit around the head of the nail.
Once I hammered the little tacks in with the wire under the head, I then shot some glue gun on it to make sure it didn't slide off.
Next, I glued a red button in each corner.
I tore a strip of the fabric and tied it in a bow around a wire so I could hook it on easier. I like to tear the cloth instead of cutting and hemming so it looks more rustic.
Here's the finished product.
And there it hangs over the kitchen light by one of my favorite kitchen pictures.
Oh, and I did this at 9:45 at night just because that is when I was inspired to do it.

Words for Wednesday
Saw these on Pinterest the other day. They just spoke to me. I would love to start a wall with framed art of these inspirational quotes.
I love, love, love this one. What a beautiful thought. It is so great to know that even when we can't find the words, He still knows what we are saying.
I have always said that God is not always that soft sweet voice that speaks peace to our soul. He sometimes has to knock me upside the head with a 2 x 4 to get my attention. I remember vividly one time when I was whining to Him with the "Why me?" attitude that I had one of those 2 x 4 moments and could hear Him say "Not everything that you go through is about you. Some of your tribulations are to bring others closer to me." So I shut up and decided that my faith needed to be stronger and have strived for that ever since that day. That's why I like this so much.
Have a blessed Wednesday!
