Weekend wrap up...

It was an amazing two days off. It started with a couple of ballgames on Saturday watching my grandson Colby play. I also got to visit with my oldest grandson Garret who had just gotten back from Clarksville. They played again on Sunday so I went back for two more games. Got a good start on a tan. I was so happy to be wearing shorts and flip flops that a little sunburn was a small price to pay.

Alexis had her 8th grade prom Saturday night. I wish I could make time stand still. She is growing up way too much. I thought she looked so beautiful.

I stopped at Cracker Barrel one night and picked up this little puffer fish to go with my sea turtle I got a month or so ago. I love the beach stuff at Cracker Barrel.

That was about it. I'm preparing for a yard sale soon and I worked on that over the weekend in between ball games. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

Friday Foto Friends

I love humor. I love fun. I love sarcasm. And I love things that just make you scratch your head and say HUH? On Facebook the other day, I saw these pictures.

These were on a local garage sale site where you can post items for the sale. I saw the price was $1000. THEN I read the caption:
"Great find. Datsun. $1000."
I just had to chuckle and think to myself the following:
#1. A great find? IF you can find it?
#2. Are they saying $1000 is a bargain or are they saying that they will PAY you $1000 if you can find the car in all this mess.

Whatever the deal, it struck me as hilarious.

On a happier note, I got a little cool case thermal from Thirty-One yesterday. Isn't it adorable? It's not real big but it was cute.

Still in a beach mood. Maybe the warm weather we are experiencing is here to stay. Going out on a limb and dig out my shorts and t-shirts this week. We will see.

Have a great day!

Wacky Weather

Just an FYI, I think I can finally put away my jeans and tennis shoes and get out my flip flops and capris. Our spring just now feels like it is finally arriving. Beautiful days. Only problem is we have to suffer through some cool mornings. It is 56 degrees at 7:00 but supposed to get up to 80 today. I'll take it. Here some weather humor to make you smile.

Random Wednesday

I have a busy, busy day ahead. A vacation bible school meeting at church, 8 hours of work, working on gathering stuff for my yard sale. Like I said busy, busy day.

I do want to take the time to wish my niece, Amy, a very happy birthday. Have an amazing day Amy.

Does anybody remember a clothing style from the 50's and 60's called pedal pushers. I loved wearing those. Today I was googling for white capri leggings when Blair popped up with white pedal pushers. OH MY GOODNESS! I need these for the summer.

They also have some blue ones similar to denim in color but they are the soft cotton knit.

I went to Blair's site and also found Bermuda shorts in the same soft fabric.

They had white and denim. Guess there is a shopping day for me to go to the Blair site and order a few things.

I am going to be having a end-of-school-year/Memorial Day party for the children in Children's church on the last Sunday of may. I am also getting ready to do some decorating with patriotic decor at my house. That will cover Memorial Day in May, Flag Day in June and 4th of July in July. So I'm starting to look at Pinterest for ideas for the decor and for Children's church party.

I think I will collect some small jars and let the kids do flower arrangements for our party.

I want this for my front door.

Oh my this is pretty. I think I have a white tray like that.

This would be cute for the kids to make to hang in our children's church room through the patriotic holidays.

Absoluletly in love with this and the simplicity of it. Could change the star for each holiday.

Got to read how to make these, but the kids would love this for their end of year/Memorial Day party. We could do several different fun activities with these.

Since we are having snacks for the event, I am definitely going to make brownies with the red, white and blue M & M's.

What a simple cheap idea for decor for the tablecloth.

Well, I think I need to start getting busy on my planning. I can't believe May is already here. Have a blessed Wednesday.

Happy anniversary, Chris & Jamie

I want to wish a happy anniversary to my son, Chris, and his wife, Jamie. I love you both.

Lots of wonderful memories over the years with these two.

Not to mention the beautiful grandchildren this marriage has brought to the family.

Happy 20th and may God bless you with many, many more.
