To God be the glory.
How many times have you heard that phrase? Songs are written about it. Preachers do sermons on it. Sunday School lessons are prepared to teach it. If you Google that phrase, there are 32,500,000 results for those few precious words. Yet, how many times do we actually GIVE him the glory. Without him, we are nothing. Our goals are not reached; our dreams are not acheived. Our happiness and existence depend on Him and Him alone. I've always heard life is what you make it. No, life is what you make OF it with what God provides for you. Do you glorify God when He blesses you? Do you give him the praise when things are going great in your life? Or do you simply cry out to Him in the bad times? Do you just need Him when the going gets tough? There is a song that says it best: For The God On The Mountain Is Still God In The Valley when Things Go Wrong He'll Make Them Right and The God Of The Good Times, Is Still God Of The Bad Times and The God Of The Day Is Still God Of The Night So, don't wait for the dark times to call on Him. Praise His name daily for what He does for you. Look for the good and you will find it. I glorify His holy name. He has poured blessing after blessing down on me this week and I am so thankful that I am His and He is mine! My favorite prayer that I pray is so simple. I just simply close my eyes, turn my heart toward heaven and say "Dear Lord, it's me again. Help. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen." It is basic and simple, but He knows my needs before I even pray. When life gets overwhelming or I'm facing challenges, I turn to Him with that simple prayer. And He always, always, always come through for me. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. - Romans 11:36
