You consider buttered toast, sliced tomato and a glass of sweet tea as breakfast.
You think wearing shoes outside in the yard in summer is barbaric.
You wear a hat your mother made from cut up Clorox bottles and crochet yarn.
You like to entertain, but your party must always have a theme.
Every time you hear news about someone, good or bad, you respond with "Well, bless her (or his) heart.
Your 21 month old granddaughter thinks it okay to drop her drawers and tinkle in the yard. (You're pretty sure she has seen her bubby do that a time or two)
You are Mamaw to people who are not your flesh and blood. And not just kids call you Mamaw, but everybody you know.
Your heart is a made of gold and is shared with everybody you come in contact with.
You get up before the rooster crows even if you don't have to.
No matter how old you get, your father will always be Daddy.
You were taught good manners....and you USE them.
You know the summer weather in advance...HUMIDITY.
Your babies know that "give Mamaw some sugar" doesn't mean to go get the sugar bowl.
Your favorite movies are Gone With The Wind and Steel Magnolias.
And last but not least, you know that if it wasn't for the grace of God, you could have been a Northerner.

By the Grace of God I was born a southern. I love toast with butter, tomatoe and sweet tea for breakfast. One of my favorites!!! I am so glad Mamaw taught me to love sweet tea!!!
Deb, Ms. Clara said to tell everybody it is not her. It's just a look-a-like. She's a hoot. I had the best three days with her this week.
Rachel, isn't it funny that I'm the ONLY non-tea drinker in the family. Even picky Andy loves it.
