One of the blogs I visit regularly is http://scrapbookofchristmasfirsts.blogspot.com/. Being a December baby, I love everything to do with Christmas. But one thing I love is the music. Nothing can put me in a Christmas mood faster than listening to one of my Christmas tapes.
On the blog today, she said "Imagine with me for a moment, that all Christmas music will be banned in the 2010 season....what song(s) would you miss the most.
That was a no brainer for me. If I could not hear or sing Silent Night at Christmas, I would be devastated.
My love for music goes all the way back to when I was a little girl. At 9 years old, I was singing in a little quartet in front of the church on occasion. As the years went on, I joined the choir and have been a faithful member of choir at every church I've ever attended.
I love songs of all genre's, but Christmas music has always held a very special place in my heart. Here are some of my favorite Christmas songs that I start playing the day after Thanksgiving. These are my top 10 favorites. It goes without saying that I love all the old gospel favorites such as It Came Upon a Midnight Clear and Hark! The Herald Angels sing.
Silent Night
Mary Did You Know
Joseph & Mary's Boy
Christmas Memories
Tender Tennessee Christmas
Christmas Shoes
Joy to the World
