I am super excited this morning. I am still trying to learn to crochet. I have been able to do a chain stitch since 8th grade, but never learned any more from there. But you can't make something by just constantly doing a chain stitch. Or can you? I found this on one of my old posts this morning. It's a wreath you make from chain stitching and wrapping the yarn around to make the wreath when you are done.
Well, I happen to have some Christmas yarn and decided to give it a try this morning since I can at least make a chain. I don't have any ribbon and I didn't have enough time to make it quite long enough, but this was just an experiment. And I would say with a longer chain, some hot glue to hold the round shape and some pretty Christmas ribbon, I could actually make some of these.
How cute would they be with a tag on a Christmas present.

Yay for you....that's a start and you actually made something from your chain! Glad you are going to learn....but let me forewarn you, it's addictive! ;-) Thanks for linking up....HOPE you don't have to work this Labor Day weekend.
I could never learn how but yours are really good and would be nice used on a gift!
What a great idea! I've graduated from chain stitch to SC and DC but that's about it. Have a great day
Those will look great on Christmas packages! Good find! I wish we lived closer. I could show you how to crochet. It's easy, I promise. Keep at it!
That would be a delightful way to decorate or tag a Christmas gift...or the others for other kinds of gifts. I am impressed. I do not crochet or knit. Being a "lefty" I just never got into a lot of such skills because no one could teach me and I was too busy to sit down and learn. Now I wish I had. Maybe it's not too late...but I don't think I have the patience. So I appreciate other's talents. Thank you for sharing with us!
