A visit with Cousin Amy

My last stop on my virtual visits for Christmas decor is at the home of cousin, Amy. Her photos make me want to go visit and curl up in a cozy corner and read. Check out some of the amazing things she puts together for the holidays.

Vintage heaven! I want to find me a Christmas plate and cup and an old book to do something like this with my vintage stuff.

The little wall hanging tickles my fancy. I feel like a snowman about to have his head roll off. Was doing great, got all the shopping done, presents were just about finished, working on housecleaning so I could be free to bake some Christmas goodie gifts for friends. Then the flu hit and I am running behind on everything and felt to bad to do anything. Now to catch up like he seems to be trying to do.

I don't know for sure, but I believe she probably made this. Amy is the baby of my 7 cousins who belong to my Aunt Frances. Six of those cousins are girls and they are the most talented group of crafters, decorators, antique shoppers I have ever known.

Amy home is one you want to drive by on your Christmas light tour for sure. Isn't it beautiful.

Be still my heart. I need corner cabinets like those to put my holiday Pyrex in so I can change them out every season. New project for next year!

Too precious. Wonder if this is one of her old baby dolls or if she found it antiquing?

But of everything she has, this is my favorite. The old cardboard fireplaces. I remember we always had one and we couldn't wait for Mom to put it out. I would set and read by it pretending it was a real fire. Such wonderful memories. Amy's family I seem to remember had one a lot as we did.

Thank you Amy for letting us tour your beautiful home. I am going to go back through these later and make me a "to do" list on things to look for next year and "borrow" a few of your great ideas. Merry Christmas to you and Matt and Jacob!

What a great job she did! I love the Christmas Village in the hutch and also how she decorated the other hutch. Everywhere you look, you see Christmas! Talented & creative!!
