My granddaughter Alexis graduated from 8th grade this week. Now it's time for high school. She is ready but this grandmother is not. They grow up too fast.
She sang a solo and even participated as one of the readers of a satire that was written predicting where everyone would be in the future. It was so cute. Here she is getting her diploma.
Their final procession as 8th grade graduates.
I am so proud of her and the beautiful young lady she is becoming. She is one of the sweetest children you will ever meet. Of course there was picture time and I never hesitate for an opportunity to get one with any of my grands.
Alexis and her Mamaw on her Mom's side. Her other grandmother is such a sweet lady. It's been so much joying sharing grandchildren with her.
Alexis with both the Mamaw's.
Alexis with her Mom and Dad.
Alexis with Mom, Dad, and little brother Colby. Their oldest son, Garret, had to work.
Her with her Aunt Lisa.
And one of the proudest moment of her life. Her with her award.
Check it out. She was a winner of the President's Education Awards Program and received a certificate for Outstanding Academic Excellence. We are all so proud of her.
And one last one of her with Colby. He was ready to go home.

Oh, Brenda, how can our grandbabies be growing up so fast. It makes me sad. (Sam's voice is starting to change and I'm so not liking that at all) Alexis is beautiful and smart (must take after her Grandma) Thank you for linking up...I'm extremely slow in responding these days...old age?!?!?? LOL That and lots on my plate! HOPE you have a wonderful Memorial Day celebration (even if you have to work)!
