You would think I would learn over the years. But I don't. I posted a picture of some cute plastic canvas items and my Sis immediately responded with her "wish list". Needless to say, I have some new projects to work on. Then she told Mom about them so I have even more projects to complete. But that's okay. I love anything that uses yarn. I had the yarn for the first project Sis wants. A snowflake book mark and matching coaster. I cut everything out over the weekend and printed the patterns she wanted. I'm ready to stitch tonight.

After talking to Sis on Saturday, it got me in the craft mood. I headed out to the local scrapbook clearance store and bought some card stock paper to make my heart wreath I posted on Saturday's post

While I was there, I picked up some cute paper for a spring project as well (don't know what the project will be, but I loved the paper.)

I stopped by Joanne's and couldn't really find the material I wanted. But a trip to Walmart had me running into a dear friend in the craft aisle. Together we found red burlap and I was able to determine a game plan for a couple of crafts. Come back tomorrow for the crafts I did over the weekend.

I was armed with new ideas and new craft supplies. I was so excited to get home and start crafting. But as I was driving up Highway 66, I remembered an antique store my daughter-in-law visited recently. I had never been in there, but she used the magic word when describing it..."Pyrex". So I had to stop. I found this mixing bowl in the Town & Country pattern that I love. It was just $7.00 so I just had to have it.

I stopped at a couple more, but didn't find any good deals. So I headed to the store and went home and fixed me some homemade pizza bread. Hubby was at work so I had supper and read on my book awhile.

I spend the rest of the evening gathering everything I needed for my crafts. I went to church Sunday morning then came home and crafted for awhile. I can't wait to show you what I made. Stop by tomorrow to catch up on my completed projects.

Craft Projects

I've been on Pinterest getting some ideas. With the holidays over, my craft room is restored and I can start doing some crafts. I have a lot of plastic canvas and yarn so I'm going to cut out and organize projects I can do in an evening while watching TV. I may try some of these bookmarks.

I know I want to make some coasters. I love the one with the cat. And I can pick and choose what colors I want to use. Coasters can be made in about an hour so they are one of my favorite things to make.

I love birdhouses and these are also something simple to make. This pattern makes birdhouse coasters so I think I may have to try one of those as well.

This is so cute and so simple. I think I will let my Sunday School class make these one week for their Mom's. I will just do a smaller size with one of those Dollar Tree frames. But it will be so cute.

This was made out of paint chips that they cut into hearts, but you could use construction or scrapbook paper. I would do mine in all scrapbook patterns of pink and red designs for Valentine's Day.

This is just too cute and looks very easy and inexpensive. I may have to try one of these some day.

This is a no brainer to let my Sunday School class do for Valentine's. Simple and fast. And minimum adult supervision.

This is really cute and easy as well. If you did it out of cloth and put a ribbon to hang it, it would make a cute front door decor.

This looks super simple to make and you can get a lot of scrapbook paper that is patterned differently on each side.

Adorable but looks like it is a little too fru-fru for me.

These are cute and I bet you could make them really fast.

Oh, this is definitely a craft for my Sunday School class. Talk about inexpensive and easy. Can't wait to start gathering supplies.

I love making these little pinwheels and putting them on dowel sticks for flowers to go in a milk glass vase.

These are really cute for my SS class as well. It looks like a foam kit. I would leave off all the little hearts and use card stock scrapbook paper. It would fold better and keep its shape. Some pipe cleaners, googly eyes and fuzzy balls and you would be in business.

These are cute wall hangings.

Well, guess I better go make a list of supplies I need to start looking for.

Accessorizing

I spent part of yesterday finally taking the time to go through my new Thirty-One catalog. I love the new patterns. There are some new items that caught my fancy and some of my favorites are showing up in new patterns. This year, I am all about accessorizing matching "stuff". I love the Inside Out tote that is reversible. This new Bold Bloom with the Swiss Dot is perfect for me.

I would accessorize it with the Swiss Dot mini zipper pouch.

And the Every Wear Wallet

And the Lunch Break Thermal

I also like the set they put together to keep you organized at your desk or for an office on the go.

I would love to decorate my home office with the new Citrus Medallion office items.

I like the Inside Out Bag so much that I would also like to have it in the softer pink shades in the Citrus Medallion.

And the matching medium thermal zipper pouch would be perfect to hold all those loose items I have in my purse.

How adorable is the new Soft Glasses Case?

The new Zip Top Organizing Utility Tote is the perfect bag when you need to take stuff with you. With the zipper across the top and the 7 pockets, it has a multitude of uses.

I need a new craft bag for my plastic canvas projects. This Sweet Tweets Keep It Caddy is ideal for my projects. It is roomy enough to carry whatever I'm currently working on, but yet small enough not to be bulky. Not to mention I am in love with the little birdies.

Of course, if I get it, I will need the Sweet Tweets mini zipper pouch to carry my scissors, seam ripper, thimble, etc.

And this little Chick icon coin purse would be great to just drop in my bag with some cash or change for when we are traveling and we stop for a snack.

Another pattern that is popular this year is the Navy Wave. This large zipper pouch is perfect for going tossing in your beach bag.

This pattern goes great with the new Paradise Pop shown here in the mini zipper pouch.

This is my favorite style wallet. The Retro Metro. It is the perfect size for cards, cash and your check book all in one place. and it is super soft. I just love it.

There is a cute matching sunglasses case to go with the Paradise Pop and Navy Wave patterns.

No matter which of the new patterns are your favorites, you are bound to find matching items to help you accessorize in style in 2014.
